I have a mild claw toe (I can still straighten the toe manually), and I developed an ulcer at the end of the toe. This strap is comfortable to wear, and it encourages my toe to flatten out so that the ulcer has a chance to heal. Nobody should expect this product to cure advanced claw or hammer toes -- this is only going to help toes that haven't yet frozen in place. But for toes like mine, it does help!

I have large feet. It is difficult for me to get this to stay in place. I'm trying to find a piece of neoprene which I could sew onto it to go around the back of my ankle to keep in place. If I can do that I think this would be a much greater help with relieving my hammer toe pain.

Got this for a plantar plate injury that was causing a hammer toe situation. I wear it all day at home - it’s comfortable and has held up for weeks so far - it seems to have helped reduce my foot pain and has fixed my hammer toe

It seemed like a great idea, and it functions as described until the loop/strap, that goes around the toe, rips apart and this is within an hour of putting it on. This is not a fluke but poor design.

Got a hammertoe on my left foot, next to big toe. Podiatrist recommended this corrective strap. Conceptually, the strap was well thought out. I believe in my case, my hammertoe progressed too far for the strap to help me. In fact, it downright hurt wearing it and walking in it. If you plan to use one of these, you'll need to wear a gel cushion that fits over the affected toe to lessen the pain and swelling from wearing the strap. My case is just too far gone and the podiatrist should have offered me the corrective surgery as a fix.

I have overlapping 3rd and 4th toes, my podiatrist suggested I try this product. It does take getting used to. I only wear it for a few hours at a time each day. It will take time for it to show some progress.

This keeps my second toe from crossing over my big toe. The metatarsal pad on the bottom is small and comfortable. After I wash it, I will buy another one if it holds together.
