Reliable and Keeps Night Vision
I was initially skeptical about this. After opening it, I noticed that it seemed a bit clunky. It charges via a cable attached to the side of the box behind the lens. I took this out in the woods with me for a multi-day hunt in the mountains. The red light keeps you from ruining your night vision if it went out for some reason. It shines in a powerful focused, red beam which is highly effective at seeing eyes glow in the dark, like when a black bear walked up on me while I had it on. I've worn it in thorn thickets and the elastic fabric held up to being gouged. Overall, I would purchase this again, but I suspect this one to last a while and be used regularly.

Not all what I was led to expect.
I am not 100% pleased with the product, but not wholly disappointed.Pros:- The light is very bright and easily illuminates up to 100' as advertised- Seems well made and sturdy, if not ruggedCons:- No instructions or manual. I have no idea if I can leave the battery on its charger or I must remove it after a while in order to prevent it from being damages- The components advertised in the pictures are not what was delivered. The 9v charger is different and the baseball cap mount was not included- The lens is not adjustable and the light shines in a point. While powerful, I would much preferred to spread the light put a bit. It shines in something of a pin-point.

This headlamp has been a great addition to my predator hunting
This headlamp has been a great addition to my predator hunting, lighting arsenal. Bright mid range hands free option for that coyote, coon, pig, bobcat hunter... I have a tendency to go over the top with just about everything, I like the best of the best, and this little guy stands up to the challenge, it has a good runtime, great charging options that come with it (car and home), no batteries to go dead and replace, I think I'll be picking up an extra one soon. I can see well enough with it to shoot with no problem out to 100 yards. Bottom line, there's a lot of lighting options out there, I just happened to stumble across this one and take a chance, and am nothing but pleased with its performance. I have lights that I paid 5x what this one cost, and it functions and performs just as well imho! Hope this helps, anyone looking and possibly interested, just buy it, you won't be disappointed!

Not the best product for night hunting
It took forever for the unit to charge and the red light is very dim.

Decent light for the price.
I haven't had the chance to take this light out in the field just yet to know if it'll actually shine or illuminate eyes at 100 yards, but it seems to be ok at 50 yds for the price. As others have found out, the light can not be focused. Mine has a brighter circle in the middle of the beam which projects out a good 50+ yards into my yard, yet has a dimmer wide angle circle around that beam which radiates decent to see while looking ahead when I'm walking. It sort of works as a multipurpose red light for me because my property is so thick I can only see 75 yds at best in any good opening I'm going to hunt. As others have mentioned, their is no manual to tell you anything about the light so I don't even know if I can open it up and replace the battery in the field when it goes dead. This might be one of those items that you throw away after the battery goes bad for all I can tell.

small company, i feel like it was thrown together in a garage
the product came in without packaging, had no owners manual saying how long you should charge it for or an estimating battery life. It would be better if it just ran off AAA batteries ( i bought it for military use and there arn't many places to recharge it in the field). The actual light can detach from the head band which is nice ( i plan to clip it straight onto the rhino mount of my helmet) but the clip isn't very strong, is a weak aluminum clip attached to the light with one small screw that looks like it would back out easily.

Quite a bargain for a very powerful red light.
I read in the reviews that this thing shot a beam 100 yards and I was quite skeptical. However, it really does shoot an amazing distance, easily 100 yards. The rechargeable battery is a huge plus. I wish that the lens also somehow had an option to shoot a dispersed light in a wide beam with an attachment of some kind. If that were available, I'd buy it!The light and battery are pretty bulky, but the head harness that comes with it is more than capable of keeping it securely in place.

Gonex 3 W LED Red Light Cap Hunting Headlight
The headlight arrived a day earlier than expected and was well protected in the box it came in. When I tried it out, I was so impressed with how bright it was I was beside myself. This headlight is much better than I anticipated. Thank You.
