I lost the factory cap off my RV somewhere between Jacksonvillle, FL and Breaux Bridge, LA. Ordered this just to replace the cap, and fits fine.

Attic roof vent (2) worked out great on my enclosed cargo trailer which has a 6” attic and insulated. Greatly helps to reduce the moisture up there during the hot humid weather.

I was replacing the motor on our Dometic Brisk II air conditioner, when my toe just bumped the old vent cap on our 2016 Grand Design trailer. It crumbled apart. It would be nice if they would sell replacement caps, as I bet 90% of those that buy this are just replacing the cap piece. It screwed right onto the old base. I now have a spare base, but the existing one is in perfect shape.

Put this on my 5th wheel as a replacement for a dried out, crumbling dome. Installed the new one and thought it was kinda flimsy. A week later I was on the roof of my 5th wheel and found the dome was missing. Had to order another one but this time I put threadlock on the threads that the dome goes on. Two months later the dome is still there. There is no other way to guarantee the dome is locked tight enough to not spin loose. Threadlock fixes the problem.

One of the bathroom vent covers on my camper trailer rotted away in the sun and this was the only one I could find that was approximately sized. I was able to mount it easily and it covered the hole I needed it to just fine. I was sure to silicone seal the living day lights out of it though to keep leaks at bay.I have a feeling it won't last long in the Arizona sun though. I suppose for the price I'll be happy to get a couple of years out of it before it rots away in the sun like the last vent cover did.

This is more of a attic vent then a plumbing vent, the bottom part sets almost flush and has a bolt in the middle that holds the top on so your pipe sticking out would have to be cut flush with the roof. RV attics don't really need a vent because the have no place to draw air in but they are good if you access something inside the roof, run a wire, or if you need to open a hole to try and dry it out after a leak.

My review is similar to others. Most users only need the cap, because that is what gets broken, not the base. This product would be so much more useful if an option was given to be a replacement cap without the base.
