Reviews were right
Reviews were right. You will need to drill out the bamboo. The bamboo is unfinished so closed and dirty. Just a quick drill with a beer and bit of time. Also, this house is about two pieces short. Angle it the wrong way and they fall out. Make sure you have extra bamboo to fill in the gaps. Otherwise so good so far.

Tubes
A lot of the bamboo tubesare not fully opened. There is plant growth which blocks opening in several tubes. I may have to drill through the tube with a drill to make the few tubes usuable. The product is very well made. I a anxious to set it up. It would be very helpful to give instructions as to where and how to place your product so that the novice can benefit completey with your product.Thank You,Mark Seid0106 NW 72 Ct, Tamarac Florida, 33321

Some assembly required
I'm planting a bee friendly garden and this was to be one of the final touches. When it arrived I was very excited. Took it out of the box and set it on the counter. I noticed a thin curved piece of wood laying off to the side. I turned the house over and saw that the piece went on the back to hold the back panel in. I fit it back into place, turned the house back over, and noticed a couple of the tubes had pushed out. I pushed the back in and the back wood piece popped out again. I flipped the house on its face, fit the wood piece back in, and glued the thin wood piece back into place. I flipped the house back over and half the inner tubes fell out and the back popped off. After a few choice words, I set my mind and reassembled the house with some gorilla glue. It looks good. No harm, no foul.I love the house. I hope the bees do too.

Good product even if im still waiting for the mason bees!
The built looks strong and artsy. I have hung it under a lemon tree facing the morning sun. Im still waiting for a mason bee to occupy it. I had considered placing it on the wall that is already studded with clay mason bee nests but decided to hang it under the lemon tree for no special reason....

Good, well built mason bee hive
My mason bee give arrived in good condition and is well made. I like the metal clasp to hang it up with and yes, I would buy it again. I am giving it 4 stars because of the question I asked. See question, waiting for an answer.

Company didn't respond to my email
I just hung the beehouse today, so we'll see what happens! I was generally pleased to receive it as it appears exactly as pictured. I was also pleased to receive an email from the company the same day the product arrived. They seemed to be a small company that genuinely cares about their products. However, the beehouse did come with a broken piece on the back. I was able to easily repair it with wood glue. But when I informed the company of this, I got no response. Today, 8 days after delivery, I got an email saying the 30 day guarantee was over??? Bottom line - product seems okay, company not so much!

Very cheap, but cute
It’s really cute. The backing however ( on mine ) was not secure, and actually came seperated. The bamboo was also not connected to the backing at all, so fell out of the “body”. I had to put it all back together. I got glued the back onto the body but the bamboo is still loose and will fall out if ripped slightly so that sucks. But it is what it is I suppose...

Hummmm....
The one I got was broken the glue wasn't very strong. I will glue it back my self. I wouldn't give it as a gift for fear of them receiving broken like mine.
