These are not the softest sheet sets and I even use downy, wish the fabric was softer from time being made and for the cost I would have thought that these would of been softer not so stiff, thankfully downy helps some to soften them up. Then the top sheet, having to put in a quilt for the winter was surprising, new to me. But it well be perfect in summer without a quilt or comforter inside.
