I really wasn't sure.
They are expensive. And, generally, I prefer grannies. But, these... fit much better than anticipated. I... like them, the cut, the feel, the look. As well, I bought them for practical purposes.Sometimes, travel can be harsh, long, with no preferred breaks. These... carry me through difficult stretches comfortably and feeling clean. Have to do my part, and I do. But these make my part easier. Two pair can get me from anywhere to anywhere, with a bathroom... or even just running water... and a place to dry one pair... daily if possibly, but every other day... sometimes worse... is doable.I did not waste my money. Though, too, I now go with three pair, sometimes four, just... for state of mind more than need. Luxury comes, sometimes, in very small packages.

Favorite After Many Years
Been wearing these panties for many years. Love that they are breathable, quick drying, comfortable and don’t stink! Great for every day and travel. Agree with other reviewers that over sized tag is annoying and sad to see price increasing.

Not for winter cold - Great for heat & humidity
Wanted these to wick moisture at 15 below in Alaska. They did wick moisture, but they stayed cold. Oops! Burrrr! A cold backside does not make for a fun day of back country property shopping. They were perfect for Shreveport in July under linen pants, however. Stayed dry, cool as I could be, and comfy all day. I washed them in the hotel sink and they were dry by morning.

These live up to the hype
Lightweight, comfortable, breezy, quick-drying. Everything you want for travel or everyday wear. Expensive but worth it.

The standard for technical underwear
Super lightweight, fastest drying, super comfortable for outdoor activities like backpacking. There's a reason these aren't cheap -- nothing else compares. I haven't had mine long enough to say how they hold up over time. Not sure why people complain about the tag. Yes, it's big, but you can get rid of it by cutting off two tiny threads. Done. It's not worth mentioning or stressing about.

ExOfficio compared to Balanced Tech
Hi! Will be reviewing ExOfficio and comparing it to Balanced Tech. So let's get right into it - I sweat A LOT due to anxiety/nerves, and I've finally decided to buy a pair of moisture wicking underwear. I am at 136 pounds and about 5"2, and I got a medium in both brands. I found that both these brands are fairly popular/similar and have their own opinions about them. Yet there is one obvious choice for me. Below you can find mine broken down simply:ExOfficio:+ Sweating less- Less affordable- Not seamless but could be worse- Less comfortable than B.T / does not come in packs- Tight around tush area-/+ - Tag didn't bother me but could bother someone elseBalanced Tech:+ Sweating significantly less+ Super comfy band and material feel+ More affordable and comes in packs+ No tag- Tight around tush area / tight around thighs / band is a little snug- Not seamless and less seamless than ExOfficioAll in all - I would pick Balanced Tech over ExOfficio. Mainly due to the price and feel. Something about Balanced Tech feels so comfortable, even if it is snug in most areas. The material also looks and feels different. I am also the type of person who doesn't like to feel their underwear but surprisingly with Balanced Tech, I feel fine! Also, to put into perspective - for the price of two ExOfficios you can get six Balanced Techs. I don't see it worth the trouble shelling out for ExOfficio when Balanced Tech's material feels nice and is less expensive. At the end of the day I seem to sweat less with Balanced Tech, or when I'm most nervous it seems to be less swampy down there. But when it comes down to, it's all preference and depends on how much a person sweats. I would personally recommend trying Balanced Tech first before trying out anything else.

Long lasting and comfortable
I’ve been wearing the same set of ExOffcio briefs for over 10 years. (Separate warm wash, delicate cycle and line dry.) Several pairs now need replacing - because of the cost of the ExOffcio brand, I’ve tried replacing them with other brands. Nope. I’m now back to ExOffcio - they are amazingly comfortable and based on my previous experience they last for ages. I’m going to continue to pay through the nose for these underwear. They are not attractive, but comfort is more important to me.

No chaffing
Absolutely a game changer. No thigh rub and so comfortable. Even when on period!

Comfortable fit.
I used three pair of these on a camino this fall. They are light and cool. They are also easy to wash and fast drying.

Knock off
The media could not be loaded. Not the same as the ones I bought in the store. They fit smaller. Elastic waist band is different. Baige one are real, blue ones from Amazon. Slightly different material as well.

A bit smaller than expected.
I ordered a large because that is my typical size but I find these to fit smaller than a typical large. I probably would have been more comfortable with an XL but wouldn't have thought to order that size.
