Gets the kids off the internet!
My kids have a great time with this book. They use their imaginations instead of staring at a tablet all day.

Exactly what I was looking for only MUCH smaller
My 10yr old daughter recently decided she is a witch, a good witch of course. Her Christmas list consisted of things like a "real" witches broom & a spell book. So Ive been looking for a kid friendly "spell book" that would indulge my daughters imagination without involving or being based on the religion of Wicca. No disrespect to the Wiccan community, you do you boo. But while my daughter is fascinated my magic and witches and wizards and brooms that can fly, she also has a strong love and belief for God and Heaven, especially since her Daddy went there 5 months ago. All those things considered, the content of this book is exactly what I was looking for. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because as another reviewer stated, it is a VERY short book. Definitely smaller than I anticipated for the price. In fairness to the seller, Im sure it states the number of pages in the description and I just overlooked that. If anyone knows of any kid friendly spell books out there that are a lot bigger please let me know!

Delightful
My daughter recently found a spell book given to me that I was going to get rid of and she became very excited about doing magic. Because I found adult content in it I quickly disappeared it and got to looking for a child-friendly one. It’s pretty difficult to decide on any books online because I don’t know what’s actually in them. I didn’t want to find any ego-driven magic and love potions, which this book thankfully dispels.I decided to help other shoppers by including sneak peeks of this book without giving away too much.I found this book very benign and kid-friendly with the exception of the half naked man in a tub on one page, picture included above. I am considering using a sharpie to color in some bottoms on him. It’s a thin paperback very much like the NatGeo books.I would recommend this book to any young aspiring magician.

What I was expecting
Bought this for my son. He loves making potions and loves the book. They only thing was that it out of his reading range. I would say my son is a decent reader but he had a hard time reading it. Mostly the font of words. I had to read it mostly all to him. But great book overal

Great for kids
My daughter became obsessed with spells and "witchy stuff" after reading a book where the kids pretended to be witches. There are a lot of sources of potions out there that include really annoying and/or disgusting ingredients like dead worms, frogs, etc. The potions in this book are all easy to find -- mostly things you'd have around the house -- and the author emphasizes things like honesty and getting permission from your parents.

Good buy!
My daughter loves it! It's pretty short but easy for my 9 year old to do solo. You may need to help with finding the ingredients and such. Overall I'm happy with the purchase

Kid loves this potion book!
Pages and illustrations are beautiful. I love that the recipes are simple because the ingredients are easy for a kid to find and mix independently.

Good book for any Harry Potter fan
It's a tad thin than what I expected but it's great little book for any Harry Potter fan. My daughter loves it and enjoyed flicking through the spells.. I just hope I don't get turned into a frog!

Disappointed.
I ordered this book for my Grandson and from the description thought it would be ideal. However, I would not describe this gift as a book, it is more of a booklet. Very slim. I did not think it was a suitable present to give on its own and had to buy something else to put with it. On the whole very disappointing.

Booklet and advertising - not a book
When did 30 odd pages plus 5 pages of adverts become a book? The write up makes it sound so full of information and then wham! there's a couple lines here and there on each subject. The presentation is thought through by someone aiming for what looks colorful as opposed to what is actually comfortable to read. Poor use of contrast and colour throughout.I appreciate it is not a full fledged novel but i seriously think if the other 3 books are as meagre it would make far more sense to bring them altogether in one actual book and produce something useful. This booklet as 1 of 4 is a clear example of "i have a few lines worth writing but will try generate as much money as possible from it"
