This amplified indoor digital antenna is great for people living in large cities and have a strong antenna signal. Picks up UHF/VHF and FM signals. It can be used indoors or on a boat or car.

Awesome for the price!
This thing works great. I originally put it in my basement next to a ground level window. I expected to get only a few stations in that location. I got 30 channels. The ones within 15 miles were watchable from that location, but had some interference. Then, I moved it to the 2nd floor in a front bedroom. I'm pulling in 45 channels. The ones at 20 miles were now coming in. For the price, it was a great purchase. If you need stations that have towers more than 25 miles away, you might look at a more powerful or outdoor antenna. The AntennaWeb website can tell you where the towers are, what direction they are in, and how far away they are. Also, I like the amplified feature. I plugged the antenna in the front bedroom. The cable runs to a common area in the basement. I connected that cable so that it would feed into a back bedroom. There is probably 80 - 100 feet of coax cable that this is travelling. No problems. The antenna doesn't take up much space. I have it sitting on an off-white dresser. It isn't an eyesore. I'm using a homeworx tv tuner so that I can plug it into a projector. I can use the projector for things like the big football game (because it is on the broadcast channel). I don't have to pay $7 a month to the cable company for another basic set-top-box. Adding an antenna is a great way to either cut cable, or compliment your existing cable.

Power Booster Actually Works.
The power booster attachment definitely works! I was prepared to return this antenna, having tried several that didn't work as expected. Without the booster it worked just like my other supposedly good antennas. But lo and behold! --when the amplifier was attached and turned on, it brought in many more stations, so it's a keeper. I prefer this compact design to the large flat antennas as well. One small problem was attaching the antenna to the stand, because the pictures are not detailed. The Chinese are very clever designers and expect you to use your brain power rather than have everything spelled out. The antenna and stand click together, and to change from horizontal to vertical I had to push and pull and tug randomly until it decided to come apart, fortunately without breaking. This purchase did not give me buyer's remorse. I suspect the power booster would work with other antennas as well.

Needs a clear path about 25-30 miles to work
Didn't work for me. Probably too many obstacles in tower path. I got about 15 channels, but they were either shopping network or non-English channels ... No local. My locals are 40-50 miles up the road.Unit is easy to set up and surprisingly compact. I think there were either weights or magnets in base because I was able to stand it directly on top of my thin Vizio HDTV and it didn't waver a bit. Top antenna can be rotated to catch a better signal. They say these indoor antennas work best near a window. My window was southeast of towers with many obstructions, so it didn't catch much of the signal.I'm rethinking this whole cable-cutting exercise.

but it's better than the previous flat antenna I had where I ...
I bought this antenna to use with a recently purchased Tablo DVR. Initially, I planned on using the Tablo away from my router (since the Tablo has built in wifi), and I wanted a smaller antenna to put next to the Tablo. This antenna is definitely thin and low profile, albeit somewhat cheaply made. It picks up all my local channels, and while I don't need the amplifier, it helps pick up a few extra channels.Ultimately, I ended up using the Tablo next to my router under my television, so I used a splitter with this antenna to split the signal to both the television and the Tablo DVR. This allowed me to get rid of the other antenna I had for the television and, in turn, simplified the jungle of cables I have behind my entertain center. As seen in the photos, you can either position this antenna to sit parallel with the antenna stand, or have it stand straight up. For me, I positioned it to stand straight up. The stand has magnets on the bottom, so I attached it to the back of my television so that the antenna appears as though it's poking out of the back of the tv. It's not the most attractive way to position it, but it's better than the previous flat antenna I had where I had to continually keep reattaching it to my window.

Small size, very low price -- and it really works
Surprise! It brings in almost every local digital channel (and sub channels), and even one station that is 50 miles away. I have it mounted vertically on a window sill facing the direction of that far off transmitter. Unfortunately it won't pick up the local ABC affiliate which is about as distant but in the wrong direction relative to this window. The tiny amplifier it comes with is necessary; signals are lost when it is unplugged. A little moving of the antenna along that window sill found a spot that maximized the number of stations received.

Nice Solution for TV - one time purchase instead of monthly cable/dish
I had a outdoor Radio Shack Dome like Antenna. However my VHF channels went away after some time. I didn't feel like going up on the roof to trouble shoot it so I bought this and just put it on top of our Entertainment center Console and rescanned for channels I got maybe 90%of the channels I did before and the ones I didn't want are those I didn't get anymore.Nice and easy to rotate to tune in a signal just right.

It works. A low cost way to receive local stations.
It works. I was able to pull in two more stations than I previously had with the old "rabbit ears." However, with that said, this antennae is more directional than my previous antennae: for a few stations one has to "adjust" the position to properly tune in some stations. In San Antonio I am receiving as many stations that I would get if I purchased the "basic cable" plan at less than the price of one month subscription.

Good reception in a small package
This antenna does quite a good job. I'm in an urban/suburban area with stations 3 miles away but my TV room is in the basement. Clear HD pictures and more channels than rabbit ears. Also performed much better than those flat antennas (e.g., Mohu Leaf, which did nothing for me). It is somewhat directional, but it can be pivoted in its base. Attractive design and smaller than it looks online, so not so intrusive.
