Krasnaya Moskva Perfume aka Red Moscow or Moscou Rouge 42 ml/1.4 fl oz by Novaya Zarya

This is definitely an older style of perfume, but well-constructed and beautiful. This lady holds her age well. The bottle is small, but the contents are mighty. Use with a light touch, and this beauty will last a long, time. so it's a good value for the price. There are lush florals with an incense note at the base.

I became aware of this perfume decades ago while a graduate student in the former Soviet Union. I don't know how to describe it in terms of perfume categories, but it reminds me of the scent of incense in the Orthodox Churches (not so strong, of course). I absolutely love it and was doling it out from my last little bottle gotten in Russia when I found it on Amazon. People do notice it, too, as it is quite different and has a mystique about it.

Krasnaya Moskva is very interesting, and goes much better on my husband than it does on me. It is really nice and definitely unisex. Not at all sweet.

It smells so good ! If you like coco Chanel no 5 you will like this. It has a hint of something sweeter and fresher though. Will definitely buy this again. It doesn’t last very long but it starts out pretty strong. Has a beautiful box and bottle.

I heard this mentioned on the Russian TV series "Love through the Reticle" or something close to that I looked it up on Amazon and found it. I bought it for my daughter in law. She went to University in Finland. When she got it she said it remined her of her Russian roommate. She said it is a extremely strong perfume like for old ladies. She said thanks but won't wear it. Yes her Russian roommate wore it and was very overpowering.

This is a light fragrance and perfect for summer. I'm enjoying telling anyone who asks about it that I ordered it because it was mentioned in a book I recently read.
