A simply fantastic book about this historical gem of a ship. Full of clear, detailed and artistic photographs and overflowing with information, a pleasure to the eyes and imagination of anyone interested in this ship or the age of sail.The staff at BOOKS_etc were prompt and honest in their reply to my query about delivery and we’re happy to hear from me when the book arrived.All in all, an excellent book and a very pleasant experience with BOOKS_etc.

Purchased a large model of HMS Victory and wanted some detailed photos and descriptions. This book was just what I wanted. Surprise was that it contained a great deal of history that I did not know and found useful. If you are looking for a detailed history of the battle of Trafalger or Nelson's career this is not the book for you. If you want to see the restoration of the ship and a brief background on its history this book is excellent. It does not go into great detail in so far as deck plans, etc. but there is a book being published April 2012 that I think will be excellent supplement to this volume and which I have preordered: HMS Victory Manual 1765-1812: An Insight into Owning, Operating and Maintaining the Royal Navy's Oldest and Most Famous Warship (Owners' Workshop Manual).

Excellent book, photos are very clear and show detail that is a great help to anyone building a model of Victory.

This book is a must have book if you are a H.M.S.Victory fan, and have to have anything Victory.get it, read it, reference it.

I couldn't take my eyes off this book. As a fan of the Charles Hayden novels, it was great to see this up close color photography and detailed description of this war ship

Super photographs and commentary..On first reading, the book cover separated from the enclosed pages.. I Purchased rubber cement , clamped..reset fine. This failure caused a 3 Star, versus what could have been a 5 Star

I was completely impressed with this book. It is well written and organized and has a great number of interesting and illustrative photos. It was delivered on time and in great shape. Two thumbs up!

This book would be excellent for historians as well as modelers. The detail and the history was excellent. Highly recomend for any one building HMS Victory as well as any one interested in her.

This series of books are excellent guides, I thought I knew quite a lot about Victory having visited her several times over the years & read a few larger books on the subject but this guide still taught me a few things!The only downsides are the quite small format (I guess they are really to be sold in the gift shop) and the photography which although of good quality are not anything a visitor could not see (no special access) & the layout of dark photographs on a black background makes details of below deck photos hard to see, but this is my only quibble hence dropping a star.

Warning! The ebook and the paperback are not the same book. Initially I bought the ebook which is shown in the preview. I then bought the paperback which I now realise is a glossy book with lots of photographs. The ISBNs of the books are different. I have not been able to find the ebook in the paperback format.

Certainly a most excellent book, full of interesting information and copiously illustrated with top-quality photographs. Never likely to be able to visit her in person, but this book is almost as good!
