Good value for the money. The welds are surprisingly nice and the fit and finish on the mason jar is perfect. The threads were a little too close for me to be able to spin on two street elbows but I was able to make it work with some couplers and nipples. Going to make a nice addition to my 18 gal pot still.

I made the mistake of buying cheap Walmart brand jars. Those jar lids are not threaded deep enough to accommodate the seal thickness and the jar will not hold on to the lid threads and will fall off. Use ball or mason jars.

I did a test run and it did exactly what I expected which leak really badly. I had my wife, who knows more about canning jars than I, take a look & she came to the same conclusion. The gasket is the wrong size. It does not fit any size canning jar we have.I have no doubt that with the correct gasket all will be fine.

The product was good quality, arrived quickly but seal was damaged in shipping, Norcalquickly sent me a replacement, overall, very satisfied.
