Boning Knife 5.5 inch Handmade Forged Hammered kitchen Knife Full tang Sharp Blade Chef Knives Outdoor BBQ Meat Cleaver

Growing up in Tennessee, my dad always made our knives. He would start with the leaf springs from a junked car and go from there. They weren't stainless, they were black, but they held one hell of an edge and never got dull. This little 5.5 inch boning knife is incredible. The tang is full length and very thick and has a gratifying heft to it. I made reverse seared steaks on my RecTec grill this evening and after resting them my wife cut into them with this knife and she said, "Oh my God, this knife is incredible!". We have two sets of non serrated steak knives but she chose this one. I really can't say enough nice things about this knife. I'm thinking I'll order 5 more for a whole new set of steak knives!

I hesitated to buy this knife because the price was so low.....after all, "Don't GOOD knifes cost a fortune"??? If you think like me.....don't worry...this knife if a BARGAIN!!!! Although I don't think it can be classified as a "Boning Knife" (due to it's shape) , this can become your "go to" knife in kitchen and at the BBQ!!!! Very stout and super sharp!! It's unique shape draws many comments and can make cutting a whole chicken into parts a breeze!!! I thought I would have to "touch up" the sharpness on it when it arrived but it is "razor" sharp out of the box!! Love it!!! I hope it holds an edge as well as I think it will. I want another one for my son!!!

The knife is well constructed, very sharp and cuts nicely. The problem is with the design of this knife which is all over the place.The manufacturer touts this knife as a boning knife, veggie chopper and light duty cleaver. While the knife has a very thick blade, which is something you'd see in a cleaver, they also gave it a hollow ground which is horrible for a cleaver since there is very little metal supporting the edge. This means the edge far more likely to roll or chip if you use it as a cleaver. They should have given the knife a flat grind like the vast majority of kitchen knives have. That would give it a much more robust edge.Two other nits that aren't a serious. First, is the 'hammer' marks on the blade. No knife manufacturer hammers out their blades these days. They laser cut them out of a sheet of steel, grind away all the excess metal, then heat treat. These hammer marks are merely for decoration and possible havens for germs. Second, the knife is a bit smaller than I imagined. I wish the handle and blade were both an inch longer.Update: I bumped up the score by a star. While an odd design, it's by far the best performing knife I've used to cut up a whole chicken and I've used a number of different knives for that chore in the past.

As the cook of the house, I am a fan of all kinds of knives. I used to choose the Chinese style of kitchen knife for ribs, but always feel not the best. When I saw this knife with kinda special curve of the blade, I decided to give it a shot. Turns out this knife can cut the ribs very easy. The blade is super sharp so remember to be extra careful when using it. The blade also feels very solid. I love the full tang design a lot because it can make me feel comfortable and confident to handle this knife.

Overall, extremely sharp and very durable. My knife had a little rust as though it had been sitting in a warehouse for a while and exposed to moisture. After adding a little oil it cleaned up nice and what little rust was on it never came back - really like a cast iron pot etc... that has sat for a while without any oil or use. Very pleased with this knife - great present for Dad or husband. Could be used to carry while hunting or in the kitchen as a great knife for all purposes. Buy the sheath it is worth it - too sharp to lay in your knife drawer.

This knife is everything you need, from a kitchen to the tundra! Admittedly it is a jack of all trades knife, but master of none. The weight, balance, and feel give this knife a good weapon/utility feel. Ive used this knife in a kitchen to break down whole chickens and it is a dream. This is truely an almost perfect knife. If I have a complaint it is the hammered texture of this knife. It looks cool and I do like it, but in the end it does nothing for the performance of the knife, in fact I hinders it. If you guys made a polished version you couldn't keep it in stock. Also put a 25% mark up on this bad boy and always sell it with the sheath!!! Im going to buy one but it would be cool if you guys sold them as a set. Other than those to things yall have a million dollar knife for a steal!

Bought this knife cause I’m just a knife fanatic. Loved the design of the blade as well as the handle. I got it in today and have to say I’m totally impressed. The knife has a lot more weight to it than I thought but I’m not complaining at all. I saw a couple reviews that said theirs had rust but mine didn’t. I look forward to using this knife on my food trailer when we trim briskets and pork butts. I also can’t wait to shoot another deer cause I feel like this would be an amazing skinning knife as well. Will be ordering another one for my father in law.

This knife is extremely sharp. Has a great weight to it and the handle feels great in the hand. I love this knife
