Hi I bought these as stocking stuffers for my family who are avid hikers. One has even hiked by himself in Europe. If you watch naked and afraid, what is one important thing that can end the game in survival? No fire. This lighter is very cool, as long as you remember to keep the lighter charged before your trip or when you can. You are good to go. All the lighters were able to make a nice electric arc upon opening the boxes.

Waterproof is great! it makes a tight seal.The arc response is amazing and so its performance when igniting things.Charging time is good and the battery lasts for multiple uses, rarely i charge my device or i end up with a low charge.although i would like to know the status of the battery charge more accurately, it lacks a way to know if its 50% charged or not.Overall, its a great lighter for outdoors and windy days!

Nice little lighter. Easy to carry very light and can recharge with usb mirco. Worked after I dropped it in water to see if really waterproof.

Haven't tested the waterproofness of the lighter but the lighter part works.

We are very active boaters so anything we can find that’s waterproof is one less thing to worry about. The design is rugged, has held up well for us so far and has worked as expected. Feels and looks heavy duty and like a very good quality product. I expect this will last a long time and be well worth the cost
