If you're stuck between this and a Swagman XC rack - BUY THIS ONE!
This rack is very well designed, with a heavy duty construction. I was torn between buying this or the cheaper and well-received Swagman XC. I've used a Swagman XC in the past, so I knew what it was like. If you have a vehicle with a 2" receiver, I highly recommend that you get this rack.Pros:- Heavy duty construction- Top quality construction- 2" tube construction with no adapter necessary for a 2" receiver.- No tools necessary to bolt it to the hitch (most bike hitches require a wrench to tighten the bolt so that it does not rattle).- Includes hitch lock and cable with matching keys (worth ~$30 by itself).- Thick metal all around, nothing is filmsy.- It can be pivoted with bikes still on it for easier access to trunk or truck bed. Swagman can't do this.- You can use a regular hitch pin to mount this, no need to use a threaded bolt. This also comes with a locking hitch pin as mentioned earlier.Cons:-A bit on the heavy side (due to its heavy duty construction). It's not HEAVY, just heavier than the Swagman XC.-When it's folded, it's still pretty large in size and consumes a lot of space compared to a Swagman XC-Uses a cable to lock the bikes to the rack, I'd prefer locking clamps instead of a cable. The construction of this rack was designed with heavy duty in mind. It does not bend or flex easily. The metal on the Swagman XC rack is very thin and if you tighten the bolts too tight, it will bend and flex. This rack also has its own built-in anti-rattle device that does not require any tools, compared to a Swagman rack that requires you to have a wrench to tighten the anti-rattle bolt in the hitch receiver. The metal hoops (where the tires rest on) of this rack has a MUCH STRONGER construction compared to the hoops of a Swagman XC rack. I have no qualms putting my $3k bike on this rack.Sure, this slightly more expensive than a Swagman XC ($100 more as of 9/22/13) but overall, it is a much better value. I do not have any regrets buying this rack.

Best Rack for the Money
The instructions are poor at best, but there are not a lot of parts and it took about an hour to assemble. Have used it twice at highway speeds and the bikes simply do not move. The tightening mechanism is a genius invention. Women’s bikes are a challenge, but proper adjustment and you are ready to go . I store the rack in the garage. It takes exactly 10 minutes to mount the rack to the car and load and secure two bikes. Unload in about two minutes. Best rack for the money

Superb 2 Bike Solution...but heavy!!
This is a great solid bike rack! I mounted this on my hitch receiver for my Honda Pilot and it didn't bounce around with my bikes and shimmy all over the place. It has some really solid build pieces that make this thing a high quality rack to use...putting bikes on it and locking them down was a cinch. My only criticism which is also a strength of the product is that it is friggin heavy...I mean two person lift heavy. It is not your everyday "pull on pull off" bike rack. Its 50lbs in bulky metal weight so its not something simple to maneuver easily. To their credit to the design though, you can tilt the rack away from your back hatch if you have an SUV like mine and its handy. When you got bikes on the rack, your back hatch obviously won't clear in order to open so being able to tilt the bikes away from the back hatch is a great feature to get access! Despite its bulk, this thing is super solid...and worth the investment if you're looking for a well-built rack that isn't going to flop around. Plus it has attachments to expand it! Bonus!

Can't imagine why anyone would use a different rack.
I've been using this for several weeks now, and I'm still really, really impressed with this rack. It is, by far, the easiest to load and most solid of the half dozen racks I looked at closely. It is a bit on the heavy side, what do you expect for a 2" rack; that is a big part of why it is so wobble free. The tool-free mounting mechanism is amazing. I never would have guessed that it would work as well as it does. It didn't matter at first, but now I'd gripe if I had to go back to using a wrench.Took a bit of fussing around to get everything just right for two bikes, but it can be done for both male and female bikes.
