Lots of information
This DVD allowed me to easily perform all the positional releases that April Battles suggested I do for my pony. I am ready to attend a clinic with her after watching this DVD.

Interesting information
When our trainer suggested chiropractic for our mare, I decided to research equine chiro as I wasn't convinced that just moving bones around without addressing the muscles controlling those bones would have long-term benefits.I found information on myofascial release vs chiropractic, and it made a lot of sense just based on my own physical experiences with chiropractic. After a lot of research, and realizing that there's a great deal of anatomical science involved, I figured I would have to find a trained practitioner for maximum effect. So, when I found this video, I was pretty excited to think that I might be able to help our mare.Unfortunately for me, the video assumes a prior exposure and experience that I didn't have (and the creator of the video alludes to that at the outset, so the fault was mine). Nevertheless, there are some simple techniques that I can do, and seeing all of the techniques applied helped tremendously when I did get a practitioner to work on the mare. If I hadn't seen the video, I might have been inclined to be a little suspicious of the work being done - but the practitioner did every single step laid out on the video and explained the purpose of each as well.Even though there is a tendency toward a mystical approach, I just watched the horse carefully while she was being worked on and was able to see the science involved. I also noted results in the mare's overall attitude the next few days following. She was much more relaxed and spright - as though some ongoing pain had been relieved.Although this video is rather expensive, the content was useful. Thank you.

but can be corrected safely and completely through the Osteopathic training presented in her wonderful DVD. I LOVE her DVDs
April's DVD provides a life changing education to anyone who wishes to learn from it. It has enriched the health of my horses and gives me peace of mind. So many issues are a result of imbalances and old injuries in horses' bodies, that many vets don't recognize, but can be corrected safely and completely through the Osteopathic training presented in her wonderful DVD. I LOVE her DVDs. So do our horses!

Great video if you already have some knowledge
This video is wonderful if you already have some knowledge of horse bodywork. I bought this because it came up under the search of "ortho-bionomy" and I thought it was the beginner guide. Luckily, I already knew the beginner moves, which are referred to in the video but not shown. There is apparently another video that gives the basic moves. This is the advanced second DVD. For those who DO have some horse bodywork knowledge, there are some great moves in here, including excellent moves to release the first rib (can be difficult) as well as great moves for the psoas muscles. There are some real gems in this DVD for those wishing to deepen their knowledge or add to their repetoire of horse bodywork. You may need to stop the DVD and rewind several times for some of the "testing" moves, such as the test of checking stifle reflex. Luckily, this is easy to do on a DVD. Worth having in the library for horse bodyworkers.

Learned a lot
I learned a lot from this video. Previously I had watched April's youtube seminar video and was just thrilled with it, so I bought this dvd. It could have been a bit more detailed, which is why I gave it a 4 instead of 5. I do have some equine bodywork experience, so this dvd was not too advanced for me. I could see where it might be a bit advanced for someone with no experience, but watching her (free) youtube video would help.
