This Persian Haji Jalili Tabriz carpet, circa 1890 consists of a cotton warp and thread, hand-knotted wool pile and natural vegetable dyes. It is an exquisite and highly intricate piece from the workshop of master weaver Haji Jalili, one of the foremost artists of his time. The extremely Fine weave and unique coloration are characteristic of his work, while the exceptional design exhibits a detailed medallion design amid an elaborate field and border. This carpet is in excellent antique condition, and the size is 9' x 12'7".
