Classic cartoons from a bygone era
I grew up in New York City during the 1960s and 1970s when the local television stations featured programs that included cartoons. WPIX Channel 11 would show nearly all of the Popeye cartoons on a regular basis. These cartoons were taken for granted during the early 1960s when few households owned color television sets. Television stations like WPIX began to phase out the showing of black & white cartoons during the late 1960s when more people were purchasing their first color sets. It's a pity that those TV stations eventually stopped showing the classic Popeye cartoons largely because they weren't filmed in color. This DVD is a must-have item since it offers many of those long-lost cartoons which have been transferred from excellent sources.

Great deal for the money
Being able to keep a piece of your childhood is awesome, especially when it's a warm fuzzy you shared with a grandfather. These videos are in wonderful condition and play well. Will enjoy for many more years.
