BRNO baLens BAL67 67mm White Balance Snap-on Lens Cap with Neutral and Warm Domes

Worked fine, but now I can't find any customer service. I have the 67 mm and the plastic spring clip, which seemed to grow less springy with time, has worked itself out and disappeared. I still have both domes but they were held in place by the little spring clip without which the cap is almost worthless. Does anyone know how to reach balens? I'd be happy to pay a reasonable price for several of the rings. I don't want to buy an entire new cap because of the lost ring. Thanks.

I love having nicely color balanced pictures. Works great with my Canon 5d MkIII. I use the warmer (more yellow) color insert. The only caution is don't sit on them... They break more easily than a standard cover, and the design doesn't allow for easy repair (short of gluing it all permanently together).

I BOUGHT THIS TO REPLACE MY GRAY CARD BUT ON MY NIKON D7OOO IT DOESNT WORK. THE PRE SET WHITE BALANCE FEATURE WILL NOT WORK WITH THIS UNIT ATTACHED TO THE LENS.

This item is a little pricey - but it is very convenient.There are better ways to do white balance but the reality is this is the easiest and works well 99% of the time. If you are a pro you are not looking at this product...if you are like me and enjoy photography and want to do white balanced shots and hate the time of using a card then this is your product.I love it.It is quick and always avail be as it replaces your lens cap. Turn off auto-focus, take a shot in the direction of the photo you wish to take, setup your camera to use it for a custom white balance and take your photos.Works for me.

I have picked up a number of these in various sizes for my favorite lenses since they are so useful. Getting a good custom WB setting is painless using these. Simply point at your subject and set the WB. I know that there may be a concern of setting WB based on reflected light vs incident light, but I find that this does a good job and is superior to auto-WB in difficult situations. And, as I said before, it is dead simple, doesn't require carrying around a gray card and you always have this with you since it is your lens cap.

Very impressive device! It is very easy to set the white balance for the ambient light. After brief testing with the camera's automatic white balance, the lens cap made a difference.Editing programs can correct some white balance problems, but I believe the cap is an asset in giving a better "on location" white balance setting.

I have this baLens on all my camera lens no matter which camera I have. I have been using these for years and now that I bought another camera, I bought this baLens on all my lenses for them too. Great product. I am very happy with it.

If you shot in a variety of conditions it is always nice to check you white balance, and this is a quick and easy way to do it.

オーバーヘッドフォーカシングカメラの一眼レフ名機に、ケンコー製SLマウント対応、67mmフィルター取付け用アダプターをオークションで入手。これによりケンコー他あらゆる67mmフィルターねレンズキャップとして使用。優れているのは、このキャップを装着したまま、SL66オリジナルのレンズフードの脱着、逆にレンズフードを装着したまま、いずれもこのレンズキャップだけの脱着も容易に出来て助かっています。ホワイトバランスの用途は分からないのですが、カメラメーカー名が無いのと、キャップ外径が67mmフィルターとぴったりなのも秀逸です。回りくどく書きましたが、各社67mmフィルター用キャップより高価ではありますが、優れものだという事です。

光球(樹脂製ドーム)が本体とは別に1個付属していて「ウォームカラー用」と称してドームが少し青味を帯びています。しかし、ノーマル用ドームを使用してもかなり黄色というかアンバー傾向になります。良く見るとノーマル用のドームもうっすらと青味が付いていました。カラーメーターで測ってみると、色温度ベースでノーマルがおおよそ+700K、ウォームカラー用が+1400Kです。「JJC ホワイトバランスキャップ 77mm 並行輸入品」のレビューにも書きましたが、まあ、グレーカードを使用したように正確にはいきません。キャップ部分のプラ素材の質感はかなり良く、ニコンやキヤノンの純正キャップよりも高級感はあります。
