nice bible - some translation considerations
This is a nice New Testament (with Psalms + Proverbs). It's a bit bigger than the NKJV Gideon's NT+ that I was carrying, so it sticks a 1/2 inch out of any shirt pocket. The print is a good size, and I find myself using it often.I like the NASB, but there are a few points I wish they'd done differently. (#1) Before the 95 updated version (and in the ASV and RSV), there was always a footnote on Matthew 19:9 saying that some ancient versions read like Matthew 5:32. This touches a very important doctrine, divorce and remarriage, and the footnoted variant should have been made the main reading, as it is from earliest reliable manuscripts, and is the only variant cited in early Christian writings. (#2) In 1 Corinthians 11, two different Greek words are both rendered "covering". The ASV distinquished by rendering one of these as "veiling", and the RSV maintained that distinction, but the NASB has blurred it by using one English word for both. (#3) In 1 Peter 3:3, the word "merely" is inserted, which waters down the real intent of the passage. At least it's still clear in 1 Timothy 2:9 that women should shun jewelry, etc.. The NASB is good about italicizing these added words so that you know what they added, but it would've been better to leave that word out (like the ESV does). It's because of "small" things like these that some conservative churches still use the KJV as the bible they can trust for doctrine.

Big blessing in a small package
I just received my Bible and looked it over. It holds a lot of God's word in a very small package. It is sized to fit in a pocket or briefcase to be taken anywhere, and that is the main idea. The word within is powerful and beyond reproach. The NASB is proven accurate and true to original manuscripts. I like it very much, will treasure it and carry it as I travel. I would suggest, however, that one slightly larger, with an 8 or 9 point print, would be even more useful. In any case, I would recommend it to anyone who still has good enough vision to read the small print.

Very easy to tuck in a pocket.
Very nice. I purchased this to send with my husband on a week long hiking trip. I needed small but big enough to read with 57 year old eyes. It is! Thanks!!!!

NASB New Testament with Psalms and Proverbs
The New American Standard Bible is highly regarded for its fidelity in translation to the original languages of Holy Scripture. I like to pack light when I travel, and I was looking for an NASB New Testament with Psalms conveniently sized for travel. This edition meets my needs admirably. It will easily fit in a pocket of my backpack, or even in a coat or jacket pocket. The bonded leather cover and gilded page edges give the book a very elegant appearance. The type size is small but very legible. In addition, the book contains an extensive section of "helps" to find biblical teachings on various issues, and also a plan of reading that, if followed, will enable you to read the entire New Testament, plus the Psalms and Proverbs, in two years. There are also a few blank pages in the front and the back where one could make notes, or write or paste in favorite prayers, so that this book could serve both as a travel Bible and a prayer book. Do note, however, that all the print is in black ink; this is NOT a "red-letter edition," with the words of Christ printed in red ink.

The best little Bible to carry around
This is a great portable pocket Bible. The wording is easy to read and the translation is excellent. I use it every day. It is very easy to understand. It's biblically sound (word by word translation) and the message has not been convoluted. Having Psalms and Proverbs at the end makes it stand out. I have bought 3 of this Bible and I would highly recommend it. Also, there is a section on Where to find help when feeling certain ways, like needing peace, weary, thankful, etc. The passages chosen for these topics are excellent. There is also a daily readings section and a Suggested Readings section about very important passages in the Bible historically and passages on how to improve your walk in Christ. If you're on the fence about buying it - I would suggest trying it out. For $4 it is a great buy. Fits just right in a pocket or a purse.

Decent pocket Bible, not great quality
I'm a fan of the NASB translation, and I never like to leave home without my sword, so I was excited to find out that Foundation put out a NT with Psalms and Proverbs. My devotions always include readings from Psalms and Proverbs, so it's nice to have them included in a pocket sized Bible. The Bible is beautiful, the text isn't too small despite the fact that it fits neatly in a pocket. The ribbon is nice. My only complaint is about the gilded page edges. The gilding was done very cheaply. I've only had this Bible for about a month and a lot of the gold is flaking off already. Everytime I read this Bible, my hands look like they're covered with glitter.

It is a perfect pocket Bible
It is a perfect pocket Bible. The overall quality is excellent. Even though it is a paperback, the paper cover is very durable. I love the rounded edges because they keep the edges from being folded and otherwise worn out. The inner paper is excellent quality and it feels very durable. The font size is small as expected but it is bold enough to be read comfortably unlike some other Bibles where the fonts are not only small but very weak. I give this Bible the full 5 stars which is quite a compliment because I rarely give out 5 stars on Amazon.

Perfect and beautiful !!
This is easy to understand, nice and small size just fits in a pocket, the writing is not to small its acceptable and clear to read. Its really good for having the Psalms and Proverbs to because they are very important to have. It has the 10 Commandments at the back, prayer to receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour, and other Bible passages which are very important to know. I bought a good number to give to people. I keep buying them to stock up so we are well prepared for the mission :) Postage and packing is good to, also the cover is pretty and nice material. Thank you so very much, as I was looking for one to fit all these categories and this one does. My only negative is that when you buy a bigger number it gets expensive, as you have to pay for postage to each one, it would be very convenient if at least to get some discount after a certain number, because then I could buy more at once then 2,3,4,5 at the time. In rest everything is Fantastic :)

The Word in Your Pocket
Brilliant little New Testament from a brilliant publishing house ustilising the best possible English translation of Scripture. It could do woth being a little bigger though, I would love a version that would be about 1/3 bigger. Years ago I did own one, it has since been discontinued, a real shame. Nonetheless, this is a great little pocket N.T.
