Great Yarn for projects

I have loved the product for many years, since I learned to knit at 13❣️Make sure you purchase enough of the colors you need, especially if you’re traveling with your project; dye lots can vary by state.

An absolute must for the Women's March. The yarn is just the right color and price point to be able to make several hats. I think I got about 2.5 from one skein, so I ended up making one hat striped. The yarn is, as usual, a bit rough to work with as it is acrylic but for a major event where you are donating to charity and have no idea who is going to get it, you definitely want to use acrylic instead of wool because people can be allergic to wool. Other people don't realize that you have to hand wash some wools or they don't go in the dryer or they're going to felt. So this is a good choice when you don't know the recipient and you don't know what kind of care your work is going to receive. The yarn is also easy care and this particular shade isn't quite as "shocking" as some of their other colorways! I think "Pretty n' pink" is the most neon of their pinks. Overall, it's a staple workhorse yarn.

This yarn isn't the best for clothing, but for blankets, accessories, and anything beginner, it is perfect. I use this yarn for all my color pattern designs, so every piece has the same gauge and no stitches are bigger or smaller than any others. I just bought some of the light grey yarn and it has the same yardage but is shorter than my other yarns of the same gauge. I wouldn't be alarmed if this happens, but just be aware that it looks as if it is wound tighter than the other yarns you may buy at Joanns. The price tends to change a lot on these though, so I would just check when the prices are lower.

Used for a blanket

Using for beanie hats but not as soft as I would - maybe it will be OK after a few washings.

Amazon, as usual, was great and replaced the damaged yarn I received. The last four Red Heart yarn skeins I have purchased have had issues. One went from three strand down to two then finally down to only one strand that was tied to the remaining yarn. The damaged part was at about 3/4s of the way in so when I got to it I had to unravel the rest of the skein to finish my project. The shocking pink in this order had a huge tangle deep inside due to a part that looked like it had been over-wound. It was tied off to the rest of the skein like the other. In fact, I have found two more that had tie offs in the middle of the skeins.I still like the yarn because it is very easy to work with and generally a great bargain but the mistakes in the manufacturing process are beginning to make it not so much of a bargain when I have to take so much time messing with the yarn instead of enjoying crocheting.

My niece loves this color and the price here is excellent compared to local stores. Blanket came out great.

For some reason you can’t get this colour anywhere anymore i’m glad Amazon had it a bit expensive but i needed it for my projects.

It's red heart- decent quality, cheap and no dye lot. One reason i buy this yarn is due to it being a centre pull, doesn't roll all over as i use it. However, half the skeins were tangled inside so i couldn't use the centre pull, hence the one star off.
