Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't
I love this thermometer when it works, but it often blanks out and makes a high pitched sound. At first I thought the sound was coming from the bathroom speaker I use to listen to music while showering, but nope, it's this gadget. So far I'm leaving it installed as it's great when it does work. But I wouldn't recommend it as a new purchase for anyone.

No batteries needed
It works perfectly, and it’s spooky how it works without batteries. I had to remove it because my housemate was convinced it was a spy camera. I tried to assure her that it was not a camera by telling her, “Absolutely NO ONE wants to see your naked body!” Been pretty quiet around the house lately.

Don’t waste your time.
Does not work. This is a second unit that I attempted to install. No matter what you do does not power. Would be nice if there would be a batter. Until then it’s going back to amazon. Great design and packaging but I wish it would work.
