Works Great - No Glue
Despite some reviews which complained about glue in the mesh, I took a chance on this hoping that the manufacturer would have learned from those reviews and gotten rid of it. My guess turned out to be correct. The label was affixed only with a very thin layer of glue, and the residue washed off with dish soap and warm water. That said, I bought this to make 'high extraction' flour (aka bolted flour), which is taking whole-wheat flour and sifting out the bran. The photo (sorry not a great photo) shows the bran remaining in the sifter and the sifted flour in the bowl - mission accomplished. This is a 9" sifter, which is what I wanted (didn't want a dinky sifter) so a wide bowl is helpful. But it sifted pretty quickly and did the trick.

Do not purchase!
The glue of where they apply the packaging to it is imbedded in the screen holes. Extremely difficult to come out and will damage the screen. Other words, I cannot use it. I fear glue would fall into food if I did. Too bad because it is the perfect size for home use. The kicker is, I tried to return and it said I cannot.

Waste of money
I definitely do not recommend this item. The label, which is the size of the screen, comes attached with three dime size dots of glue that will never come off....what in the world was the manufacturer thinking? The product is not usable or returnable.spend a bit more money and buy a product you can use.

Paper Label GLUED to the mesh!
I should have read more of the negative reviews. My Tamis Mesh Sifter (drum style) arrived with a large label glued in multiple places to the mesh, much like a label in the bottom of a non-stick skillet. This glue is much tougher than the typical rubber cement type adhesive, and penetrates all the way through the material. I've tried so hard to get this glue out of the mesh, and cannot. If you're Mrs Anderson, I hope you read this. Please stop this practice.***UPDATE***Here's what worked for removing 97.5% of that glue. I inverted a 3 1/2 qt saucepan on my counter, and covered it with a paper towel. Placed the mesh down so the pan/towels were supporting it. Sprayed WD-40 liberally on the glue areas, and let the overspray that ran into the towels, soak against the glue areas for a few minutes. I then sprayed the areas again, and then used an old toothbrush that I sprayed w/ WD-40 (often) to scrub the glue areas. The WD- 40 was then washed away w/ dishwashing detergent. Everything is clean, dry, and residue-free. Just a few tiny specs remain.

Be aware before you buy!
It looked like a great product. I think it will work fine. However, The globs of adhesive (three) they use to attach their label to the screen are a challenge to remove. Unless you have the skill and steady hand of a heart surgeon and a gallon of acetone, don't buy this product. It took me 45 minutes and multiple sessions of acetone and rags to gently remove the adhesive. It is definitely not water soluble.I believe there should be a special hell for the people who decide to deliver products this way. They should spend eternity removing this adhesive from their products. This is the first bad review I have ever written.

GLUED
This item came with four big splotches of glue on the screen used to hold the label and the plastic wrapper in place. I was able to get the label and wrapper off but the glue was really stuck on the screen and I don't think it should be incumbent on the purchaser to spend an inordinate amount of time getting all that glue off, especially in the tiny screen holes. It would not come of with hot water and soap and did not readily peel away. I applied for a return, I am to receive a refund without the need to send it back, so all is good, but this item as packaged was not acceptable. I did not try to see if it would hold up to the intended use.

Pretty rusty after only a few uses
I can't recommend this. See picture. This is a lot of rust for only a few uses (<6). It's been less than a month since I purchased this item. I remember my mom's sifters being replaced about yearly because they wore out like this, but I hoped the manufacturing had improved. It has not. As much as this sifter takes me back to my little hands sifting flour for Mom, I'll be looking for a different, better design. Open to suggestions.

Crank gauge wire is flimsy
I have had this type for years (but of another brand named "Bromwell's" which was galvanized tin, but started to rust, but it looks exactly like this new Mrs. Anderson's stainless one). The crank on this new stainless one is made from a slightly lighter .098 gauge wire that unfortunately allows it to flex too much during use, and act like a "spring" under the load of the flour, and this causes it to constantly throw flour up out of the container. My older one did not do this even though the gauge of wire used was only .006 thicker (it is .104 gauge). The slight difference in gauge makes all the difference in it's "action", The crank length on this new stainless one is also 1" shorter than the older Bromwell's one, which makes it have a slightly more inadequate awkward "shorty toy like feel" to turn on this new Mrs. Anderson's stainless one (in my opinion) (I would like to see the crank extend in length so that the knob is just to the bottom of the container, but no further).

Good quality
I had to replace my original vintage 5cup flour sifter because it had rusted. this Mrs. Anderson’s version is almost the exact replica of my vintage one. I think the quality meets all my expectations. Just happy I was able to order this off Amazon. These types of sifters can be expensive, but Amazon’s price was affordable.

It's simply fantastic.
I like everything about this product. I went to test it out when I first got it, just to see if it was an improvement on my old sifter and I ended up sifting 800g of almond flour because it was just too easy to use. It has turned something which I previously considered to be a chore into a rather pleasant experience!

Makes sifting much easier
As other users have pointed out, contents drop out of the holes on the side. It has however made my sifting efforts much easier and cut my sifting time by a lot.I have noticed that after a month of steady use (at least once a day), the wires are rubbing on the sieve more, making it more of a challenge to turn the crank smoothly. At this point, it's grating and dragging against the sieve. Also, note that the sieve itself is not super fine, which works for most needs. However, if you're making macarons or something that needs a super fine sift, this is not the product for you. (it's not bad. just being baker-honest!)- review by stphn's wife

Very cheap
This is so cheaply made. The first time I used it the basket fell out of the bottom. There is nothing holding it there. I was going to return it but thought it would be a pain, so my husband put 2 screws in it. At least I can use it for now until I buy a better quality one.

you get what you pay for
The mechanism inside was mis-shapen and could not turn freely. Flour came out from the holes on either side of the sifter. Cheap construction for a cheap price, returned it for a refund.
