Replaced front shocks on Excursion - very happy with these
After I purchased my 2002 Excursion, I just accepted that the truck rode rough and that was to be expected when driving a medium-duty truck but then I went over my first speed bump and the front end bottomed out. After reading several forums, I found that the front leaf spring rate was not adequate for the weight of the 7.3L Powerstroke so I decided to replace the springs with a set from a 99-05 F250/350 (found a set of V- codes on Craigslist for $50) and replacing the shocks was worth a shot. It was such an incredible difference! I am now pleased with the ride and riders often comment on just how much smoother the ride is than they were expecting from such a large rig.If you are like me, you are debating on these or Bilsteins for replacing your current shocks. For a third of the cost, you get a great on-road feel and I am happy with my choice. 90% of my driving is on-road and I have only had brief stints off-road so far but still have no issues with these shocks. If your driving takes you off road much more often, it may very well make sense to go with the Bilsteins but I am more than satisfied with these.Note that these shocks are the ones you need for your Excursion *only* if you are planning on replacing the front leaf springs which raise the front end up 2-3". You will need the extra travel on the front shocks only. The Monroe 911176 Reflex for the rear are fine (even if you do matching B- code leaf springs for the rear) as they can accept several more inches of travel.

Great shock for the buck, better then OEM cheaper too
Much better then the ford stock shocks. At 51k miles I had a front shock go out. Just finished installing the Monroe Reflex I did both front and back part numbers 911196 and 911195. Install was easy even had the woman help. Ride was MUCH MUCH better. I wanted to get rebuildable shocks but would have been around 130 a shock. This is a much better option. My truck is 2004 F350 6.0 Diesel 6-speed Single Rear Wheel Long Bed

Does not fit
The shock does not fit the lower bracket on my truck. I've reached out to the seller and am hoping they will send me shocks that fit.

Nice product, fit like it was supposed to and quick shipping

Nice ride quality
These shocks give a very nice smooth ride quality but stiffen up when needed on my 2002 F250. Three stars because one failed within a few months, the fluid leaked out.

Better than OEM
Direct fit. Better than OEM by far. Nice ride in my F240 SuperDuty 4X4. Went Reflex for both front and back. Remember to buy 2each - price listed on Amazon is for 1. I didn't read carefully. Never occurred to me that they would sell as a single item. I'll be more careful next time.

Second shock on front of '01 Ram 1500
This was used as a second shock for the Rancho dual shoclk kit, I needed a bushing added and a different bolt for the upper mount but wanted to use the same series shock as the primary. I chose the same series shock for the replacement when i went to the leveling kit and the 3/4 ton shocks front and rear. these are responsive and firm but not harsh. great handling and price.

good shock
Helps the ride on your truck even with a load, and are the best price I could find for this quality of shocks.
