Perhaps a little on the large side for travelling with, but is perfect for emergency repairs and alterations at home. It has just about everything you need for those inevitable emergencies and basic sewing projects. Includes needles of various sizes (and an all important needle threader!), a large range of colours of thread, a thimble, sewing pins, scissors, spare buttons and snap-fasteners, safety pins, and more (it even includes a miniature but fully functioning tape measure!). I've already used mine to repair a hem that was coming un-stitched, a missing shirt button, and to sew around a newly created button hole (I should have checked before I bought it, but a new garment had a button, but lacked the required hole to fasten it through!). In each case, the kit had just the colour of thread I needed. For value for money, you just can't fault it. Okay, the items aren't top quality from well-known manufacturers, but to buy all of the items in the kit separately I think would cost you much more than the price of the kit.I think it may be just a bit too large for travelling with (unless you're travelling with a large suitcase), but the manufacturer also do smaller versions of their kit, which are also available here on Amazon.co.uk.I'm very pleased with my purchase, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

I dont normally give reviews (I love reading them before buying - so should try to do more), but upon opening this product I was "truelly astounded" in how much effort had gone into making this package a MEGA useful sewing kit.I dabble a bit with sewing, so not a pro but this I can see would make even a pro very happyLooks like it will last for ages (tons of thread in all colours + an assortment of all manner of sewing aids EVEN a very ingenious needle threaded- no more wasted hours trying to thread a needle lol). very, very happy I bought this.

I looked at so many mini sewing kits before deciding on this one and crossing my fingers. It perfect. Honestly I'm actually surprised. It has everything you need in there and very good quality and colour thread options. Really pleased. Lovely little leather package as well.

Does what it said on the label. A lot of stuff for very little money. For that, it is great. My needles are sticky with something, probably a side-effect of putting on the plastic pin head. This makes them difficult to use on some fabrics and impossible on delicate fabrics. The yarn is uneven and on roughly cut spools. I could go on and enumerate more shortcomings but really for the price, I think I got what I asked for.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered it, but honestly I am so happy with the whole package - especially the good quality threads. It's nice to finally have everything needed in one place, and it's quite easy to store it as well. I would definitely recommend it!

I am not the sewing type of gal - This is perfect for me if i need to do a quick button etc. It has SO Many threads and has everything you need in a nice compact case - Some of the bits are not that great quality like the measuring tape - However still useful - Just not sure it will last 'forever' - Still i would recommend this to novices!

I was really pleased when i received this as to how much you actually get in it, especially for the price. The case itself doesnt look cheap either. Its a decent size so am less likely to misplace it. Nice selection of thread too.
