G24 to E27 E26 4-Pin LED Light Sockets Adapter, Light Bulb Socket, Bulb Base Adapter, Converters Lamp Holder (Pack of 1)

This adapter worked perfectly to replace the extremely expensive OttLite fluorescent swirl bulb in my wife's OttLine task lamp. Now she can use any type of bulb with a standard E26/E27 medium base. Anyone with an OttLite lamp that uses a "proprietary" OttLite fluorescent bulb with the G24 like base should buy this adapter so you can use higher quality inexpensive bulbs. The OttLite bulbs don't work all that well and they don't last long. Do yourself a favor and dump the OttLite bulbs.

One of the pins was severely bent

Two problems:1) The plastic piece on the end of the adapter is too long compared to a standard G24 bulb. The adapter can't be inserted all the way into the socket/fixture. (This is NOT a problem with the light fixture, this is a problem with the adapters.)2) If using these to replace CFL (fluorescent) lights with LEDs, these probably won't work for you. Most G24 CFL fixtures have a built-in ballasts which help regulate the electricity through the fluorescent bulb. This ballast interferes with the LED bulb's ability to produce light.

Just what we needed

Snaps right in to a 4 pin socket and converts the lamp to a standard Edison socket. Just remember to remove or disconnect the ballast.

Do not buy does not work

Excellent item, however....read fine print, requires lots of work to have them work. Easier to just buy the expensive light bulbs

Mail finally came in, (over two weeks). Happy to see it fits, however with in a minute, smell something BURING, and the bulb went out. The Light Socket was VERY hot. Something is not wired correctly and or not fit led lights
