A great balance between bulk and protection
I would give this case 4.5 stars if I could. It does a great job of straddling the line between those thin plastic cases that you wouldn't trust during a drop, and the super-protective cases that you can never seem to get out of your pocket when you need to.Previously I had been using a case from Urban Armor Gear (UAG). While I love the UAG case for its quality and protection, I found that its slightly protruding corners actually increased the likelihood of me dropping my phone, as they were always snagging on the edges of my jeans pocket. With the Body Glove case it is no longer a problem. It has decent protection on all sides, has good grip, and is still remarkably thin for the protection it offers. The fit and finish are excellent, and it feels like a quality product. The reason I would deduct half a star is that I had accidentally ordered the same case for the Note 3, so I had a means for comparison between the two. The Note 3 and Note 4 phones are almost the same size, yet the Note 3 version of the Satin case was slightly thicker because of the addition of a honeycomb patterned layer which contacts the back of the phone to dissipate impact. The Note 4 Satin case has a smooth contact surface without the honeycomb. For me, this change was a negative for two reasons:1. This extra thickness on the Note 3 version made the grip on the case feel *Perfect*, versus merely good on the thinner Note 4 version.2. The extra rubber/pockets on the Note 3 version gave me more confidence that the case would protect my phone in the event of a hard drop. I would describe it as the perceived difference between "knowing" the phone will be undamaged to being "pretty sure" that it is undamaged.Others may appreciate the thinness of the new design more so than the slight loss of protection. To each their own. Regardless, I highly recommend this case.

Okay, but too thick. Found better.
ORIG 12/18/2014: "Good case for people who, like me, want to feel the buttons" The case I bought with my phone covered the buttons, and I hated that. My Note 2 had a Body Glove, and I loved it. So I got this as a replacement. It's about the same thickness as the first case I bought - which means its actually much thicker than I want. But at least I can feel the buttons and touch them directly. I wish it was thinner though. I don't need a lot of protection, and this seems a bit over-kill to me, but apparently it's the new standard.EDIT 01/05/2015: After using this a while, I find that the additional thickness is very much a liability. It's so thick that accessing the buttons becomes problematic. Additionally, it prevents my headset jacks from fitting (I tried FIVE different headsets, from five different companies). You either have to trim down EVERY HEADSET JACK you want to use, now and in the future, or you can do what I did - spend a half hour with a Dremmel and a lighter making the stupid hole wider. Probably a soldering iron would do, but mine is out on loan at the moment. Anyway, I've decided that I don't like this case, and will be searching for a replacement - one that's thinner and doesn't stop me from using my headphones.EDIT 01/20/2015: "Okay, but too thick. Found better." Found another Note 4 case that is MUCH thinner and doesn't block the headphones from plugging in correctly. It's on Amazon as "Galaxy Note 4 Case, Spigen® [Perfect-Fit]...". This fits much nicer, but it is smooth, so there's no "grip texture" to speak of. Still, for my purposes, it's a much better choice. My Note 4 now FEELS thin again!

Great looking case, my third one, can't beat the price.
This is my third Bodyglove case. I already have then on HTC One's M7 & M8. My latest one is on a charcoal Note 4. I'm very happy with look, fit and feel of this case. No surprise as this was my previous experience. It's so much smaller than the Commuter case and it's nice to have the easy access to the phone controls. My only worry is how much shock protection it provides. I dropped the phone off my lap in a semi truck all the way to the ground. Close to a 6' drop to asphalt, not a mark.Anyone have any comments about the protection thus case offers.

Simple case, but has nice textures and a good fit
This is a very simple case but I've had several of this same model on different phones over the years and will be looking for another the next time I upgrade. It fits very well and has a nice texture. The back is brushed in the way stainless steel would look, but in this case it adds a nice texture. The sides have a diagonal pattern which helps grip even if your hands are slightly wet. The holes for ports, speaker and S-pen are an ample size and it has protected successfully against lots of drops. The sides wrap around to the face of the phone slightly; there isn't much material on the front, but enough for the phone to be placed face-down without any concerns of scratching the screen. I'm using it now on both my work phone (blackberry) and personal (note).

Perfect Minialmist Note 4 case
Perfect minialmist case! Just what I was looking for! Cutouts for all the buttons are great - I think this will work for the Verizon phone as well, because it is one big cutout at the bottom instead of specifically for the mic holes. Also, have access to the side buttons not covered by the case which I perfer. The Pulse reader is accessible too. This is my third case and the slimmest of the bunch - with the size of note 4 I didn't want a bulky case, But I wanted something to protect it. The only download side I would say is the camera on the back is flush with the case, so no extra protection like some other cases!

Perfect
Where has case been all my digital life! It is made well with good sharp detail that looks great. Just thick enough to protect the phone but not too thick to be bulky. The material is lightweight and has just enough "grip" to it.
