Game of Queens: A Drag Queen Card Race

My friend loved this as a present

Received this last night and was immediately impressed by the high quality materials involved, including a pleasing soft touch surface on the box and sturdy design. Cards are large and with the great artwork displayed in images. I've bought card games before for more money that are made of far more inferior stock. This was a fine surprise to me.As for the game mechanics, I'm afraid Game of Queens is -- as some of the shadier queens featured might say -- basic. Quite clear that not much thought was put into the gameplay aspect, though at the same time it's easy enough to brainstorm some more creative house rules utilizing what's given. We tried dealing a hand of five cards to each player to act as their House and then assigned each of the six categories rated to a six-sided die to randomize the selection of Category. This allowed each player to strategize which queen from their House to represent them on each roll, with the highest rating on each duel getting that trophy. Probably better if one of you can do a proper Junior Labeija or Billy Porter impersonation. ;)

I've never played the game or even bothered to read about it, but the cards themselves are gorgeous!

I love the premise of a queen v. queen card game, and love the artistic renderings of the queens on the cards. My only complaint is that the rules that come with the cards make for a very boring game that requires no strategy. We made our own rules: each player gets 5 cards and there is a draw pile. Players take turns choosing a category and all players select a card to lay. The player with the highest value in the category gets all the cards. After each round, players draw from the draw pile. The player with the most cards wins. This made for a more strategic game, especially with only 2 players.

I got this as a gift for my hubby - we both love the show! Not much of a hit in our household. We looked thru the cards and that was kind of it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I love anything to do with RuPaul drag race. I just wish it had more queens

I think it’s a very fun card game!

the illustrations are pretty and its a cool idea however this just doesn't work as a game. No real strategy or way to truly play a fair game.

People saying its not a game are so dumb! If u think its boring your the one who's boring! Get an imagination people! Its top trumps but with drag queens but u can play with them for days hilarious rankings and beautiful art work I really cannot believe anyone could chuck them away your clearly not a ru Paul drag race fan

These are brilliant. Not just queens from drag race but also some legendary queen's like Divine. Its like a top trumps game and we take it out everywhere with us to play. It was a stocking filler for my daughter who is 12 and absolutely loves drag race.

Fun game, it's like top trumps but with drag queens. There is a range of different queen's and not all from Ru Paul's drag race which is good. The illustration's are pretty and done well.

My daughter loved these. We are all big fans of ‘Drag Race’ and will enjoy them. A really unusual gift!

Likeness was brilliant, nice and colourful and good quality.
