California Mission Model Kit San Juan Bautista

The media could not be loaded.  We were given Ten Days for New Mexico 7th grade “Spanish Mission church or Hacienda”. This kit was Fantastic! It saved our family & the 7th grader’s grade!Kit was easy to assemble with T-pins, straight pins & standard craft glue gun. The extra pieces of styrofoam helped us create altar, baptismal font, & front yard. A cheap styrofoam cutter (about 15 bucks here in Amazon) came in handy for sharing those pieces. Ordered Friday evening, arrived Thursday noon.Had paint, glue, paper, lichens, rocks, clay, sand, & wooden crosses ready. Assembling just the styrofoam took about 4 hours. Painting with acrylic craft paints took about 2 hrs to get colors right (use a Big Brush, rather than small craft paintbrush).Left 1/2 roof off, since required interior on assignment. (Our video has no words) Bell openings are 18 mm wide each, so use teeny tiny bells. Used thin layer of clay for grounds, then it started cracking, so doused cracks in Elmer’s white glue & used old paintbrush to spread. Clay then glue, then sand into the glue works even better.Styrofoam model base is 18” x 24”. Assignment required 22” x 24”, so we added a 4” lawn & fabricated Mission San Juan Bautista signs & attached with T-pins into the foam & cardstock.Inexpensive & reliable mission kit! Worked great!!

Purchased this item for my son's project assignment for school thank goodness because it saved us a lot of time and headache in trying to replicate this mission easy to put together fun for the entire family to work on I would definitely order from this vendor again delivered as promised and on time

Great kit! It was easy to put together and I loved that it was plain so my child could decorate it exactly as she wanted.

Easy to make! Very goood quality as well! We used sewing needles to make it easier to build!

I haven't atarted on my son's project yet. I dont know if it's going to be easy or give me a hard rime. I juat want it ro turn out likw how it's shown. We are going ti watch a video of how to assemble the mission and if it's going to look like the picture of the Mission.

As advertised. Foam is approx 1" thick (except roofs), so walls are made of 1 sheet, making easy and fast construction for CA 4th grade Mission projects. Pre-cut pieces may need a little trimming where they were connected. Base mounting sheet is included.

It was flimsy but over all it was great for my niece project and it can out better than expected

It’s too expensive for a flat board.
