Wave Wall Mounted Cat Perch, Small

We purchased two of the small Urban Pet Haus Wave Wall Mounted Cat Perch’s with a specific reason in mind. We wanted to give our cats the ability to get up on top of our wall without the fear of them failing and hurting themselves trying to jump to and from the cat tree.I did a lot of research and these were by far the most functional and attractive cat shelves on the market. They are very sturdy and come with replaceable pads so your cat will not slip on the wave. They have a wood veneer that is a dark wood finish and the wave measures 22"W x 10"D x 7"H.They are a big winner with the cats. We have moved since we first purchased them for safety reasons and now they are used more as a place to lounge.Urban Pet Haus also makes a Large Wave Perch that measures 42.5"W x 10"D x 8"H . If you can afford it, I would definitely recommend it. However, it was a bit out of our budget to purchase the larger wave. As for as the two small waves, it was money well spent and they look beautiful on the wall. I would absolutely purchases from Urban Pet Haus again :)

This is one of the best made items I have seen in years. This perch, it's hard for me to call it a perch...to me it is artwork, is so pretty. I wanted a perch for my livingroom and really wasn't enjoying what I was seeing out there. This is so nice looking and well made that it doesn't even look like it's for a pet, it just looks like expensive artwork. I ordered two large and one small and put together an arrangement that not only will my kitten enjoy for her entire life, but I will as well.If you are thinking about it, just do it, you will not find anything even close to this perch... you will be so happy you did.

It is really a nice looking piece and the base has a good curve that the cats seem to like. I do recommend the product as it does function as advertised and looks good. The three star rating is because the back plate feels cheap and of poor quality. The mounting screws are VERY poor quality and should not be used, throw them out and use better screws.

Have introduced these to three cats, and not one of them is remotely interested. They look cool though, always a conversation piece with guests. So I'll add a star for that. Expensive conversation piece at that.

The product is aesthetically pleasing and makes for an interesting wall decoration. Unfortunately the shelf has little to no traction for your cat to jump up onto it without slipping off to an inevitable plummet to the floor. I am disappointed in this product and find that it is useless for cats and serves only as wall decoration and a conversation piece. Unfortunately the conversation usually starts with "why is it so slippery". The pads for "traction" that are on the shelf immediately become unglued upon installation of the shelf. I am unsure what type of adhesive was used but it is completely useless. Immediately after installing a few of these on my wall, I was shocked to find ALL of the friction pads curling up and detaching from the shelf. I had to purchase crazy glue to secure them. Unfortunately, they are still useless. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT.

These are very nice solid shelves. I bought three. They come with a lovely cardboard form that you can tape on the wall to help mount it. But there was no advice on how far apart to put the perches, and I wish there was. Each comes with a felt pad taped down with double-sided tape. They each come with extra tape, for when you have to replace the felt. But one of the three had felt that was grossly out of place. That was disappointing. I also rather wish that they had included four screws - two for wood and two that are specifically for gripping just drywall. For the cost of this thing, I would think an extra five cents would be okay. My cats love them.

I bought this Wave Perch because we had some others already and love them. This may cause you to skip to the end!!In our new house we installed a large wave between a half-wall and the top of an entry closet. Without much introduction, our cats soon found the highway to the top of the entry closet, and sometimes just rested on the Wave when the vacuum was running, or the Alpha Cat was ruining things for others. One day about a month later cat friends of ours came by and just thought the Wave was wall art, until we explained it was a jumping-off or resting place for our cats: OMG!!The new Small Curve is in a different location, in the surrounds for a large tub with a high window above the side. The Curves jump up from a Small on the end wall to the Large on the window wall to another Small on the next wall. Our cats will perch both on the Large on the window wall to sun or look outside, and on the highest for an aerie from the other cats.As the guy in the house, and thus the installer, I only have one gripe. The Waves are designed for very large screws that go into the studs, and this is a wonderful mounting technique if studs are there. Some of our locations, and I suspect half of yours will be into drywall: if the manufacturers would supply mounting bolts with the colored countersunk heads (I'd be glad to supply the moly bolts!) that would work with moly bolts, I think it would be bullet proof/ perfect. As such, I have one mounting with an anchor that has come somewhat loose, and I'm concerned for both the cats and the Wave.As an Amazon Review, I can definitely recommend the Large Wave and Small Wave, with one small reservation.
