The Awesome Book of One-Minute Mysteries and Brain Teasers

Pretty good book. The answers are sometimes a bit weird. Like no one would be able to guess it and it's just so far fetched.

I ordered this book for myt 10 yr old grandson and he really likes it.

I bought this to take on the family vacation. My kids are 21, 19, and 13. We took turns reading the mystery/brain teaser while everyone else made guesses. Everyone enjoyed it!

This book was ok but frustrating to use. To use the book properly you toggle between the mystery, the clues and the solution. Unfortunately there was no quick link between the three, so the more mysteries you "solve" the longer it takes to move between them. It would be much easier if you could more easily switch between the three and not have to go through all the ones you've already looked at to get to the next mystery.

This is a great introduction to brain teasers, but will probably fall flat for experienced readers. Perfect for early middle school.

Got this to use with co-workers as an ice breaker before our morning meetings. It's ok, I guess. Some of the riddles are fun, but some are kinda lame/ too old fashioned.

Kept the kids entertained on a car ride so no complaints.

Thought some were very corny!

I loved this sort of thing when I was a child and bought it thinking it might be fun for my children and it was, sort of. Beware though that many of the scenarios are quite dated and also make more sense to North Americans. It's about time this concept was re-visited for modern kids!

These are terrible. Read a sample and bought it but the book was rubbish.If you like teasers similar to train A leaving station one at 11:00 and train B leaving station 2 at 11:15. What colour is the blue monkey's hat? Then this is the book for you.Nonsensical.
