Works great. Just peel it off the plastic liner and go
I fixed a section of sprinkler tubing using some barbed fittings. After I that I wrapped the whole thing in Rescue Tape. Rescue Tape is easy to work with. Just peel it off the plastic liner and use it as instructed on the package.

Warning - There is no adhesive on either side of this tape
Warning - There is no adhesive on either side of this tape, and I wish this was disclosed before I made the purchase. You must stretch the tape hard and then wrap around the repair unit (like pipes...etc) at least once so it can "stick" one end of the tape to the surface of another tape.THIS MEANS YOU DO NOT WANT TO USE THIS ITEM ON "SOFT TUBE" such as pool's backwash blue rubber tube or a inflatable boat.Hard pipes will work fine.Update: Vendor believes that I got a defect or fake and sent me another rescue tape. While the new one looks identical, the adhesive side works out much better than the old one I had. The instruction says you should stretch twice as long before you used it, but it will stick even if you just stretch a bit. Still, you can't use this like a regular tape. You can't just tape it "flat" on something. You have to wrap it around so the adhesive side ends up sticking on the top of the tape. Again, just pealing this tape off from the plastic film will NOT give you the adhesive, you must "fuse" it with the tape itself. The new one I receive has much better quality but still won't work on soft tube (like pool's backwash tube). You will hate this tape if you use it on the wrong project and love it if you use it on the right stuff.

Good BUT…
I’ve used rescue tape on my boat as a temporary fix on both waterlines to my water heater and to the recirculating system on my engine. In both cases it worked great as a temporary fix until new hoses were installed. Now, I had a leak in my daughter’s drain pipe from her washing machine (in the basement ceiling). The tape didn’t work well on the black “PVC” pipe. It didn’t adhere like I was used to.

Does NOT work!
Does NOT work! Followed the instructions. Tried to stop a pesky little drip leak on a solder joint on a copper cold water pipe going into a water heater. This stuff made it worse... started leaking thru the wrap in 3 places instead of the original single leak spot. Waste of time and money.

Great stuff, just be sure you apply it correctly
This tape worked perfectly for me to repair leaks in the connection between a flexible hose and the shower bib at the wall in the shower. (Tape is bright blue but I don't care because this is a temporary shower during a bathroom remodel.) My guess is that people who have problems with it either, 1.) don't fully stretch the tape as they apply it, or 2.) don't remove the clear backing from the tape before application. It's a big mistake that the instructions don't say that the clear backing must be removed because it doesn't come off particularly easily, contributing to the confusion about whether it is supposed to be removed. It's odd stuff in that the tape isn't sticky, and it works only when stretched and applied to itself.Easy five stars and easy to recommend if what you need it for is within a reasonable expectation of what is can handle. I wouldn't use it in a high pressure situation if a leak would be catastrophic or cause damage.

Worked well
Worked really well as advertised! I got this to fix a leak in the outdoor faucet and it has been a month and still holding up. Interesting to see what will happen in the Winter though!

Don't sell your boat.
Purchased to handle a porous copper that was spraying a fine mist of hot water. Water was mostly controllable. Cleaned the pipe slightly but it remained wet. As directed, started wrapping the pipe with tape applying tension as I could. Application was fairly smooth and I applied three layers over a 4 inch length. Allowed to stabilize for a short time. Started water flow and everything seemed good. After a while, seepage occurred at the ends of the wrap (which reduced over time), maybe applicator's fault. Fair reduction but still needed a bucket. Bought sharkBites(tm) and replaced pipe.
