I bought this just to use for cutting down tree limbs I never thought I would have to use this to save a life in the middle of the forest during a hunt.I was out in the mountains surrounded by heavily dense forest and i noticed that there was a baby grizzly cub coughs under a set of trees and could not get out and the mother was near by trying to claw at the tree limbs so I did what I had to and tranquilized the adult and used the axe to chop away at the trees until I could use the blade head to dig the rest of the dirt away from the ground just enough to drag out the cub, needles to say because of my scent the bears were able to track me back to my cabin and strange as it is the adult bear left a half bitten fish on my deck, so I will say thanks to this company I will be buying the rest of there products to see what other adventures lay what might g out there

I got this tactical axe over the others because the cutting surface on this axe was like 2-3X the size of the rest of the tactical axes on Amazon. When it arrived, I was not disappointed! Extra large cutting edge and it's extremely sharp.It comes with a high quality sheath.Also the opposite side has a strong bashing hammer. Love it.The handle is wrapped in high quality rope with some slack at the end to hang it around your belt or on a nail on the wall.Very solid build quality.Highly recommended. Got this as a gift for our co-worker who won the axe-throwing competition on a business trip in Austin Texas. He has it on his office wall where it looks beautiful and reminds everyone of our fun experience. I know nothing about the technical aspects, but it's gorgeous and feels well-balanced in the hand.
