Ineke After My Own Heart 75ml / 2.5 oz eau de parfum/perfume

LOVE this perfume. It doesn't smell like anything in the department stores and every time I wear it I get compliments. It's light and crisp and smells really unique.

If you love lilacs you have to try this gorgeous fragrance! Not a soliflore, but a beautiful complex scent with glorious midnote of the truest lilac. Good sillage and long lasting with an interesting development that finally goes from florals to a clean soft sandalwood and one of the nicest musks I've ever encountered. Love this line of fragrance, Ineke is a master perfumer!

Having grown up in the north east there is nothing that can trigger the feeling of spring for me faster than the scent of lilacs. Add in a citrus blend and you have two of my favorite scents so I was thrilled to read the description of this perfume. But since I am well aware that perfumes aren't always the way they're described I was happy to find a small sample bottle to try before ordering the full size. Thank God I did. This scent is so overwhelmingly floral and does not in my opinion smell anything like the lilacs I grew up with. I also did not get any type of raspberry or citrus scent. Just a heavy permeating floral scent that gave my husband a headache. I do not recommend this perfume to anyone unless you like a strong floral scent to your perfumes. I, personally, do not.
