Looking for a fun bag?
I like to send my kids to school with unique reusable lunch bags. This one is flimsy (okay because kid is in high school). It’s pretty big- it can fit two thermoses, forks, a drink, two fruits and a snack! And that is perfect for my 200 lb football player! The magnetic “latch” does not work, so the bag doesn’t close. That’s really my only issue with the bag.

Trying to stay cool and "cool"...
I can only give it 4 stars right now because we just got it and I am not sure it is going to hold up for very long. My son started high school this year and to our dismay, it is apparently not cool for boys to carry a lunch box. Not even the solid color, very plain LL Bean kind that we have used for years. We did the paper bag thing a couple of days but of course there was no way to keep his drink cold etc... I found this product and figured it was worth a shot. It arrived earlier than expected and looked exactly like the picture. Still not sure how we feel about the black thing on it but other than that, we are both pretty happy with it. He reported that several kids liked it and one told him to ask his mom where she got it. That to me, is success!8/25/14 - UPDATE - Apparently someone REALLY liked it because it was stolen from his backpack at school today. I came back to order another one and I see the price has gone up $6.30 and now the ad says "Will Ship in 3-5 Weeks". Seriously Amazon?!

NOT Waterproof/Spillproof
My coffee spilled through the bag and broke.

Ok…
Very thin and flimsy. I have a similar lunch box but it is much sturdier. I was hoping this was more like that.

I like it.
It’s a cool looking bag. It’s the right size for me, when I work 8 hours and doesn’t take up a lot of room. I can fit a rectangular Tupperware, soda, bars, and another small container.Since its not like a zippered top, or really have a secure way of closing the top. I wouldn’t put too much stock into the insulation properties.

Seems worth the money for my HS son
This is a good alternative for my high school son. He takes lunch everyday including a water bottle. Which sweats through paper bags and makes a mess. So far it is holding up. I know people said the magnets stop working but honestly my 16 year old does not fold it ‘just so’. If it lasts half the year I’ll be happy. Girls get cute lunch boxes but boys get picked on if they have just a plain lunch bag. So this is perfect. I do wish the logo was not on it though. Again just for high schoolers.

Perfect for my high school kid!
Apparently lunch boxes are 'out' and too 'dorky' and bulky to jam in your backpack. I had been using random bags but they we always too thin, or random sizes, etc. This is perfect. He says it isn't 'crunchy' sounding so he can open it up during class discretely to grab a snack. It has somewhat of a insulating lining so a thin ice-brick will definetely help keep things cool a bit. And it is just the right thickness to crunch up a bit yet have a bit of firmness to maybe prevent some of the sandwiches from getting 100% munched up. My favorite... this morning my son was put his name on it in Sharpie marker. Then he continued with various personalized doodles. This would be great for someone who wants to fully design their own lunchbag. Haven't washed it yet. Hope that goes well because all else is perfect.

Looks and feel like real old paper box but better
I bought this item as a present for my girlfriend as she was looking at it since a while now. When it arrived I wasn't very convinced about the material, it actually looks and feel like paper, so can seem quite frigile... I could non have been more wrong! The material is in fact quite resistant and it has a magnet in the opening that allow an easy and resistant seal (not an hermetic one but is ok). It is also easy to clean! Just use a wet drape and the magic is done!! You can also costumise the paper bag and make it more personal but my girlfriend was liking it at natural. The inside is made with an insulant material that is quite effective, we were surprised to see that actually it keep the cold item at cold temperature and the warm on still warmish!! It is quite spill resistant too, as we dropped a bit of water inside with no dramas or issues. Very nice purchease!!

Did I get a bad one?
Not sure whether I got unlucky and received a bad one. I read the reviews before placing this order, a birthday present for myself. Love the brown paper bag, and was so excited to receive it. Visually, it’s exactly what I was after, but unfortunately, despite making my sandwich the night before, and storing the entire bag in the fridge overnight, the sandwich doesn’t even stay cool on my 20 min journey to work.As there is no safe fridge in my workplace, I’d been hoping it would keep the sandwich cool for at least a couple of hours. If you’re looking for a unique, cute lunch bag to store in a fridge, I recommend this. However, if keeping your lunch cool outside of a fridge is the requirement, it’s not one I’d recommend.

Very weak closure magnets
I bought this bag as I liked the novelty factor of the American style paper lunch bag.The bag itself is lovely, it looks and feels like paper so I must be careful not to leave it around. It keeps my lunches cool and there is plenty of space for the essentials. However, the magnets are extremely weak and do not offer secure closure at all, they came apart effortlessly. I had to surgically pick apart the stitching and insert some neodymium magnets instead. The magnetsI bought were cheap and the stitching took half an hour, but now I have the lunch bag that I expected to receive. I would still recommend the bag if you have the patience to upgrade it. If not then look for a velcro one instead.

A great retro lunch bag
I love it! It flatters down after I’ve had my lunch and holds way more than I thought it would! The only thing I have with it is that the magnets don’t connect completely meaning the bag can be a little hard to close. I am slightly worried someone might just think it’s trash and throw it away
