Must Have for Long Term Crutch Use
Like another person said, "As much comfort as you're going to get on crutches." If you're going to be on crutches for any extended period of time, you should get these pads. In case you're wondering, I had ankle surgery a month and 2 days ago, and have used these pads for 3 1/2 weeks. They don't work miracles, but they do provide your body comfort while you're on crutches.Underarm Pad:+Soft and comfortable, even for long periods of use.+Doesn't rub your armpits raw like the standard rubber pads.+Super easy to apply (contains small velcro strap inside, but you don't really need to use it).-The pad, like a pillow, tends to bunch on one end during extended use, which can make it feel like you're going to slip off the crutch. I've never slipped off my crutches, but it just feels like I'm going to.-The pad is slick like spandex, so you sometimes have to stop and readjust your armpit position (coincides with point above).Hand Grip:+Soft and comfortable. The standard rubber grip started to give me blisters on the edge of my palms (opposite of your thumb and closer to your wrist than pinky finger) within a few days of use. No blisters with these pads whatsoever, even after a months worth of use.-The padding makes the grip thicker. The thickness, along with the soft padding, can cause grip fatigue during the initial use.I gave it 5 stars because of its price, ease of use, and how well it has worked. Also, the materials are of good quality, as there's no sign of wear on these after constant use over 3 1/2 weeks (no loose thread or stretched seams). $30 is well worth not having my armpits rubbed raw and having blisters on my hands (it's rough trying to use crutches after that). Do your body a solid and get this item.Side note: If you have a cast or bandage on your leg (which would be why you're on crutches), also look at the Brownmed Seal-tight leg protector.

Great padding for under arms
The arm padding is a game changer making my arms a lot more comfortable! The fabric is a nice quality, padding is thick and the color is true to the photos. The handle pads are not great, they could definitely use a little more padding in them. My hands still hurt after using the crutches for a while. Overall I am happy I purchased this set, my arms don't hurt anymore.

These are a life saver!
Anyone that has to rely on crutches knows the pain related to your hands and armpits. These pads help tremendously to reduce the pain and irritation the crutches cause. They go on very easily and quickly. Plus they stay in place. I cannot say enough good things about these pads.

Very Nice Padding but it slips a little
I bought the purple pads (my wife loves purple) after she had knee surgery. The pads go on well but can slip off the top if not careful. Overall they are good and inexpensive, but not the best.

Very nice and comfortable
A little difficult to install but fit my crutches, could use 3 velro straps instead of one but stays put when weight is applied for me.

Much more comfortable than stock covers alone and less irritating
Installed easily. Under the arms feels much better, hands are more comfortable but not as significant improvement as under the arms. Covers are slightly slippery under arms depending upon what shirt you have on. Liking the digital camo (black/grey/white). Quality seems fine. Would definitely buy again.

Not what I needed, but this company really cares!
**EDIT**Below you will find my original 1 * review. I was unhappy because the product did not help my throbbing hands (from crutch use) and the under arm pads were much to bulky for my liking. Depite the fact that the pads were well made, the experience outlined below was accurate for me. However, minutes after leaving the review, the company contacted me and apologized for my experience. The woman on the other end of the phone asked me a few questions about my injury and about my crutches. After a little while, arrangements were made to send some covers without padding for the underarm supports, and some padding inserts for me to experiment with.At first I was reluctant to accept, but she kindly insisted that her and her company were "Health Care Professionals", and their goal was to make me more comfortable during my recovery. Refreshing, actually, to have found such a compassionate company. An express package showed up in two days. The covers for my under arms are great. No additional bulk, and it slides against my shirt fabric just enough to prevent my shirt from chafing my skin. I won't use the pads, but I am very glad to have met a great company. Thank you for your efforts, Crutcheze. If you need a more comfortable solution for your crutches, contact Crutcheze first and get recomendations before ordering. As for hand grips.. read on. You won't believe what I figured out.>>> ARE YOU USING CRUTCHES? HANDS HURTING? Try these ergonomic bike grips! I am using them now and the difference is absolutely night and day! They will allow you to spread your weight over more surface area, rather than the gray plastic support rod under your rubber standard grips. My hands don't hurt much anymore. Get the short ones and they will fit your standard crutch grip support perfectly. You can play around with the positioning and tighten them down the same way you would on a bike. trust me! I think ALL crutches should come with grips like these standard....>>> http://www.amazon.com/Ergon-GP1-Performance-Grip-Large/dp/B0011ZHLDM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1363988929&sr=8-1&keywords=gp1+bike+grips**Original review** So I have a broken leg with one surgery down and one to go. I am not quite half way through what will end up 4-5 months of crutches. I bought this pad set in hopes of relieving my aching palms and pits... The product is well made. The material is nice. Despite all of these other glowing reviews here, (of which totally persuaded me to order my own set) I think these pads do nothing but add bulk and take away dexterity. The arm pit pads add so much bulk that it feels like I was holding folded bath towels under my arms. In fact, it reminded me exactly of when the emergency room intern told me he was gonna do me a favor and wrap and tape hospital towels around my new crutches to save my arm pits. Those towels came off before I even made it to the car. I immediately had to take these Crutcheze pads off too. And the hand grip pads weren't much better. They do add a little cushion, but the extra girth and their tendency to shift and roll with the original crutch pad underneath, made me feel much less secure. I constantly felt the edges and the sewn-in Velcro strips with my finger tips. Absolutely awful. I have already re-packaged and sent back my set. I would highly recommend avoiding these. I really have no idea why my experience is so different than the others posted here. On a positive note for Crutcheze, I also ordered their crutch bag. That accessory is wonderfully terrific. You can find my review of that item if you'd like.

Comfortable & functional
Added hand padding is great. Orthopedic nurse was impressed with the quality when I went for a cast change.

Worth the money!
I've just made it through the part of knee surgery recovery where I no longer need crutches. These cushions were a game changer. Anyone needing crutches should get a pair of these. This is my second knee surgery and what bothered me the first time was the bruising on the hands and under the arms. I had none of that this time and they were fashionably different than all the other boring crutches out there. If you have to be on crutches, you should be more comfortable and have things that look nice to make it a little less awful. I'm glad that I bought these well made cushions that were easily fastened to my crutches.

Extremely Comfy
Bought these for my crutches, and they improve overall comfiness of the crutches. My arm pits no longer have a rash, or get irritated. Very impressed.
