When the package arrived, I was pleasantly surprised at the amount! They really honored their description. The quality is great!

My husband is Morrocan and we’ve brought back quite a Few verbena leaves for making tea and ran out. I was delighted to find these online. We just got them yesterday, but we had to try them out right away and they taste as good as the originals from Morocco. :-)

Item was spoiled. Smelled of mold and grass, not bright and lemony. Had to be thrown away since food items are not returnable.

First of all, I should note that I was accustom to freshly cut Verbena and a cup of herbal tea before bed time. Its renowned effects are calming and digestive properties makes it ideal for an evening after meal tea (very common use as an herbal tea in the center region of France). Needless to say that nothing I will find for sell will match the home-grown (with extreme care and selection) experience - but one needs to rescale his/her expectations when buying a product especially since Verbena (like Sage) can lose its fragrance very easily (it is very volatile and unless you know your cooking tricks, hard to preserve the fragrance). So, let us review this in detail with this in mind.Taste wise, this Verbena/Verveine quality is from OK to likable (between 3 to 4 stars to me). The brew will be well ... verbena color that is, something between a green and a yellow. The fragrance will be mild (unlike the fresh cut which will have more of a minty/lemony taste that I may be best described as having a fragrance similar to lemon-grass). Aspect wise, the bag does not come as full leaves I am accustom to but finely shopped leaves. You will benefit from using a tea ball (I would not for full leaves). After opening, I empty the original into a ziplock bag but note that the silver like packaging is probably best to preserve the product (the opening does not really make that back re-usable). The bag is huge and will last a while and I was pleased of the price for the quantity. Delivery wise, it was on time and as expected. I received a notice afterward from the seller/company to inquire if all went well (I think it is a plus).At the end, I decided to give this product 4 stars as I feel that while the taste is not the top I had, the price/quantity versus the quality is pretty decent to me (and is above the "tea bag" option).
