Easier than a fish tape
Wish I had bought one of these years ago. Works better in a lot of DIY cases vs a fish tape. The little brass threaded ends can break so don’t be overly aggressive when bending.

Does a great job.
Arrived undamaged with all parts as listed. Well packaged with shipping (padding) materials. From reviews about coming apart I superglued all connections to fiberglass before use. Works fine. These rods were not made to bend 180 degrees, from experience I go past 30 degree bend.

Great "push stick" for the money, easily connects together and makes pushes easy.
This product worked great for what i used it. Reason for only 4 star, i was using it to push power wire down the wall 14/2 AWG, and one of the ends snapped in the wall from the lead pushing end. It wasn't bending and wasn't hitting anything. Only thing i can think is the end that brock off into the receiving end of another wasn't tightened down. The rest of the pushes I did, I made sure all connectors were tight before going down the wall. No other breakage recorded in 5 to 10 pushes. How to use:1.) connect all rods together. and connect the Pushing end (this is the flattened end with a hole in it)2.) allows make a reference measurement. (Something like "I'm 5 feet from where the power goes down the wall" or 43'' from the corner of the wall)3.) from your reference measurement, in the ceiling or attic, drill your hole in the wall header board (usually make this hole only big enough for your line you're pushing through.) You have to make sure you're in between the same two studs from the attic to where you punch your hole in the wall down below.4.) connect your Cat6 line or wiring line you're pushing down the wall and I recommend using a "pull string" so you only have to push line once down a wall. use something like "http://www.amazon.com/Greenlee-430-500-Tracer-Green-500-Foot/dp/B001UKL6BG/"wrap your line and push string to the push rod with electrical tape, taping the tip of the wires so its completely covered with electrical tape, and tape down 4 to 6 inches to keep from losing the connection in the wall and having to re-push. also make a "Dog-ear" of the electrical tape at the end so its easy to remove at the other end.5.) With your reference measurement, and where you drilled your hole, you should be able to be within an inch of the push rod on the other end.6.) punch a hole in the wall ( I used Arlington LV1-10 Low Voltage Mounting Bracket, 1-Gang, Black, 10-Pack ) and the Bright YELLOW rod is very easy to see. Pull it up a little bit and pull it out the wall and disconnect the electrical tape.Summary: the Sticks are high quality and bend easily, the connector ends seem a little brittle, but i only noticed one break, when the connections weren't screwed together tight. But they come unscrewed pretty easy. Make sure each connector is screwed together very tight and this is an excellent product for the money.

these rods work great for pulling wires up in down walls and the ...
I bought a 100 year old home. which wasn't update for electric. these rods work great for pulling wires up in down walls and the 1 foot length is very nice for when i'm in the crawl space and can hardly move I can slide these into the hole and start screwing them togather as I fish it down the wall. I do most of the work by myself. my other choice was to strip the walls or cut big hole in the walls this costly and a lot more work. well worth the money

Does the trick, but not very strong and has a couple things left to be desired
I purchased this for running some cat 5E cable through my attic and crawlspace. The length is great and more than enough for fishing cables through tight areas or conduit. My biggest gripe is that it unscrews itself very easily. Several times I had to completely retract the entire line And make sure it stayed screwed in tightly. Unfortunately one of the sections snapped clean off inside where it is threaded. This was very frustrating, as I was working in a very tight corner coming through a soffit. Bottom line, if you’re gentle with it it should be fine, but make sure everything is screwed together tightly before each use or you’ll be adding many new words to your vocabulary.

Saves time and energy
Saved me time and energy as I had to run some computer networking wire through a false ceiling on my own. I liked the ability to add additional sections as needed. Strong, yet flexible. Worked well for both pushing and pulling wire. Used both end attachments at different times. Nice plastic storage case, which was important to me to keep everything together. This is a product I personally will not use very often, so it's important to me that everything is there next time I need it.

Worthless, about as useful as a wet noodle
These rods are so bad I'm not sure how they could possibly get a good review. I bought them to pull a fish tape that is about 8 feet away from an opening in my ceiling. Unfortunately, once you screw more than 3-4 rods together, the rod flexes to the point that you have no control over it anymore. The idea of using the supplied hook to catch anything is laughable for anything more than 4 feet away. (Imagine trying to keep a long tape measure perfectly straight - that's what using this is like) I realize this is cheap, but something advertised as 11' of pole should be able to maintain some sort of rigidity at that length. This does not. It will be going back.

Great product for price!
I used this to run both 22-4 burglar alarm wire and 18-2 speaker wire through walls and attic space. It worked great. I used it for both pushing and pulling wires. I read the reviews and had some concern on the quality of this. I found all the ends solidly fastened and well made. The 12" rods worked great for limited space. I had none break but they must be used sensibly. They are 3/16" in diameter and if overstressed they will break. I would buy this product again.
