The installation worked excellent, however, only 10 snaps are included that have the screw base. Be aware if you have a larger project. You will need to order extra snaps with the screw base and top. Other than the minimal amount of snap material this is a really good product and easy to use. For the price there should’ve been a couple of dozen snaps included.

It gets the job done. However, the only thing I wish was it had a magnetic holder for the crimp attachment. Mine has the rubber gasket but does not really hold as well as I would like. If you are on a boat like me and you are trying to crimp seat cushions and you lose this piece its kind of useless.

Not the vice grips of old but strong ,easy to operate and makes a quick job of it. Well worth the money.

I spent way too much time debating different snap fasteners and finally decided on this one over one with an integrated punch, one with a magnetic snap grip, a super expensive one (like 6X the cost of this one), etc. In the end, I think I made a great choice - banged out about forty snaps in no time - I did one test snap to see how it all worked and then went to town. No misalignments, no loose snaps, nothing - all good. If you're going through the same decision tree, I would recommend you look no further. Does it appear that this device is just an ordinary locking pliers with attachments welded on to crimp the snaps? Yes...and, I don't care. It simply got the job done.

Loved the pliers . Definitely worth the money . I tried 2 other pliers on the market for installing snaps on my handles for purses , which absolutely did not work . The photos and directions are a little difficult to follow . Glad I practiced a few times to get the snap securement correct for my heavy fabrics. I wish there would have been more snaps in the package since you really must practice a few times before you can use this tool correctly .

Be advised that if you intend to install any snaps that are to be more than an inch and a half from the canvass or tarp it will not reach. You'll then need to get a punch and die and use a hammer. Otherwise, it works great and long as you have it adjusted for a super-tight fit. If not, your snap will fail fast. If you intend to use it on a boat cover, I suggest you do not try this when the cover is on the boat. You will be dropping snaps in the water and perhaps the tools as well. Mark your locations with a marker and take it home and lay it out in your garage, driveway or equal. This way you'll find it much easier and less likely to lose equipment.

Could not replace snaps with canvas installed. No place to rest the tool. With hand held pliers, no more removing and installing canvas for snap replacement. I wish the pieces had detents so they wouldn't fall off the pliers. Takes some care to eliminate that issue. But otherwise good tool.
