Great sound quality from a durable little speaker. I am not surprised because I have had a Denon receiver for years now. We needed a small speaker for a massage office (single room) and this one works great. It is also great on the patio or in the kitchen. If you get two, they can be synchronized together wirelessly to produce stereo sound. I have not measured the volume in decibels, but it is impressive and high quality.

Ok I am updating my review because of my disappointed experience with this product.A couple things to note, the battery life I previously mentioned as impressive actually isn't. I noticed that volume level only has a marginal affect on the overall battery life and that I started to notice it was deteriorating at an alarming rate.Second and most important. I bought mine at the beginning of August and here before the end of December, it is totally dead. After I shut it off last night, it would not take a charge (charging LEDs would not come on with multiple cables and multiple chargers) and it would also not turn back on no matter what, even after leaving it plugged in to charge overnight. Dead after 5 months of use only? For $100? I don't think so. Mine never even got wet because I use it exclusively with my desktop computer and sometimes my phone, but it has never left my apartment.I bought another Walmart brand oversized bluetooth speaker in 2017 for that same price, that I eventually gave away to less "careful" owners and that thing is still kicking 3+ years later!!! And this one is dead...I cannot recommend, also considering it's literally $50 on Denon's website instead of the $99 here makes me wonder...Original review here:Admittedly I bought this because of the AptX support and the Denon name.I have to admit, while this doesn't get quite as loud as a speaker I purchased a few years ago, the sound quality and low latency beat almost anything else I have. I can watch Youtube videos on my computer (no AptX support) and not notice any lipsync issues whatsoever!!!Bass isn't super wow, but the sound is crisp and clear.Battery life is impressive, several hours at a reasonable volume at least.It's a bit pricey but if you care about the things I mentioned, I highly recommend it.

Speaker is small, solid, bit heavy compared to others this size. It's build quality is very good, I'm not at all worried about damaging it with casual use. It charged quickly, paired through bluetooth seamlessly and the controls are simple and straightlforward. The controls have a light detent feeling when engaged, there are a series of LED lights that pop up for charge level, connecting to power and bluetooth. The sound is above average, as expected with Denon. I prefer acoustic music, so for bass lovers, it's great, but a tad boomy for me. I controlled that through the equalizer in my phone. Sound projects very well at mid volume during normal use. Highs were clean, clear, natural. Voices produced were good. Treble a bit weak, but not a deal breaker. The charge and audio port (3.5 jack but no cord?) are under an easily accessed rubber flap that seals well an iis thick enough to last a few years of normal use, not abuse. I've seen it priced from $49 to $149, it meets that price bracket nicely.

Nice sound quality for its size. Have 2 denon and linked both to give a better sound quality when listening to music or watching a movie.

I bought this speaker in November 2020. Sound was fine, nothing special. Some connectivity issues with bluetooth, the charging port is hard to access, and battery life was passable. But now it wont turn on no matter what i try to charge it with. It will turn on its bluetooth capabilities but won't play any sounds or turn on any lights.

I realize that this speaker can be submerged in water and still work. I assume that building a speaker with that ability is likely the cause of the muffled sound quality, but buyers should know this going in. If you're not planning on having this speaker poolside or in the shower, I'd look at the Bose Soundlink speakers, same price, better quality sound and easy to charge. The charging port on this speaker is covered by a water proof hatch which is extremely difficult to open. Again, a waterproofing feature but I should not have to find a pry bar just to get to the port to charge it.

The sound quality is absolutely great. I got a black one and a grey one to make stereo sound. However, the buttons are not easy to push. It takes me a lot strength to turn on the speakers and pair them since the speaker is designed to be water-proofing. And I have to pair the two speakers every time after I turned them off. The battery is about 8 hours to me, so I charge them twice a week.

I liked this speaker but with only 18 months of sporadic use before it won't charge it is too short given the initial cost to justify this price.

Wont hold a charge. Basically a paper weight after 3 months.
