Apologia Exploring Creation with Physical Science Experiment and Lab Supplies Kit

I was hoping this kit would enable my 8th/9th grader to work on the experiments on their own. Unfortunately, a fair amount of products for the experiments are not included with the kit. Food coloring, corn syrup, straws, clear plastic cups; just to name a few are not included. Oddly, a pair of safety scissors is included. My student is disappointed because they thought that we wouldn't have to go shopping around or hunting for the ingredients to complete experiments. I regularly buy Discovery Kids science kits from AC Moore which seem to offer a more complete kit.I know that this kit is designed to be used with the Apologia Physical Science course specifically. I find it puzzling that the kit included baking soda but not salt. It came with a plastic cup marked as a graduated cylinder but no plastic cups for one of the experiments. The labeling is a little confusing for us also. The term modules are not used in the book anywhere, so linking up the correct module number to the correct experiment can be a hassle.For us, this kit did not deliver what we needed. We'll muscle through but I don't think it was worth the cost in terms of products or time saved- I still have to go out and buy quite a bit.

I purchased this product as a great way of introducing my two 11 year olds to physical science so that they can be ahead of the game in school. Its definitely worth the purchase but would suggest purchasing the textbook and notebook in order to be able to explain the experiments even whether home schooling or not. I gave it four stars because it didnt come with experiment instructions, just a sheet with a list of items for each module. The additional purchase is necessary unless your a physical science major or teacher.

Just as I hoped it would be, everything you need except a few things we all have at home to make these experiments work!! Worth the money , saves time having all the stuff with each module printed out on bags. We are Apologia fans!!!

Worth every penny. Science just isn't science without the experiments and even though most of the items do qualify as common household items, they don't seem very common in my house ;) With how busy we all are, not having to hunt around for a specific item was a life saver.

This kit has saved me lots of time and money from having to search all over for these items. There are still items I might have to purchase for projects later, but this is a big time saver. thank you!

I have used other kits and found this one had better quality and included more items.
