First she sings, and then she DANCES on DWTS
I love Kelly and her music is still in the formative stages of her development. If she keeps growing in her work here as she did on DWTS, she will be a perennial CMA winner. The quality of her voice and sound is great but I do believe so many of her songs start to sound alike. I believe she has more versatility than what we hear on this album and I will look forward to hearing that in future works. In the meantime, I could watch her dance every week! Great talent, great young artist!

Kellie Pickler
This is another classic Pickler CD! She has some great songs on here, like "Don't You Know You're Beautiful" and "Best Days Of Your Life", but she also has some great songs that just never get enough radio air time. "Going Out In Style" and "Rocks Instead Of Rice" just crack me up with her sense of humor!!! You'll love every song on this CD!

This time, it's all "Kellie Pickler"
Kellie Pickler calls her second album simply "Kellie Pickler." That's appropriate because the songs reflect more of her unique outlook and larger-than-life personality. At the same time, the album fuses two years of musical maturity -- hundreds of concerts and sessions with Nashville's best song writers -- with the work of a hand-picked producer who brings out Kellie's best. All this adds up to a rich, well-rounded album that gives us more insight into Kellie Pickler than ever before.I love all the tracks, but my personal favorites are:"Best Days of Your Life" -- Kellie lets an ex-boyfriend know he peaked when he dated her. Co-written with Taylor Swift, who sings background vocals, this tune shows breakout potential."One Last Time" -- One of three great ballads on the album. A relationship is too draining to continue, but a last spark of desire remains."Lucky Girl" -- Smokin' hot and perfectly arranged. From now on, when you hear "sexy country siren," this is the song you'll hear in your head."Going Out In Style" -- An over-the-top, tongue-in-cheek intro kicks off this lively, humorous tribute to excessive consumption.

A More Mature Kellie Pickler!
The thing that strikes me the most about Kellie's sophomore album is how mature she sounds. Her songwriting and vocals have become a whole lot stronger since her debut album Small Town Girl. These last two years touring has really paid off for her. She's also changed her sound a little,it's a more radio friendly pop/country.But Kellie really pulls it off nicely! It includes the first single Don't You Know You're Beautiful(great lyrics to this, very empowering) and the current single Best Days Of Your Life,co-written with Taylor Swift who also provides the harmonies. This is one of the standouts,a seriously in your face kiss-off uptempo that will have you reaching for the repeat button.Other fantastic uptempos are I'm Your Woman,Lucky Girl and the very witty Rocks Instead Of Rice, all very catchy. But she also includes some lovely ballads such as One Last Time and the very raw Somebody To Love Me,there's also the ballad Didn't You Know How Much I Loved You from her debut but this version shows off Kellie's stronger voice. She really belts this one out!She wrote 5 of the 10 tracks, and has given the songs a lot more depth this time around plus she just sounds better than ever.Overall a fantastic effort from Ms Pickler.
