It Works!
I purchased this item to remove a wheel from my Chevrolet Kodiac 2 ton truck. I tried everything from impact wrenches to 3/4" breaker bars, and that is exactly what I did. I broke my 3/4" breaker bar.The last time that I had to remove a wheel I hired a Mobile Tire Repair service to come out and break one loose. (cost $100)When I received this, the first thing that I did was to open it up to check the grease, it sounded dry when I rotated it by hand. Sure enough, It had very little grease, not all of the gears were lubed. (very important to lube a planetary gearbox)As others have pointed out, the plastic box is cheap junk, but I wasn't buying a box. it was what I expected.I placed the tool on my truck and give it a try. Remember that I said that I tried everything and even broke a 3/4" breakover bar? Well, I turned this tool several time and to my delight, The Lug Nuts came loose and I was able to get the wheel of to repair the tire.Short Answer, This is a good tool and more than worth the money, even if it came in a paper sack!

It simply works.
This thing works. I tried a breaker bar with a 4ft extension and the lug nuts wouldn't move. Couple of turns with this thing and the lug nuts came loose. The case it comes with is pretty crappy but the tool itself is good quality.

lubricate the gear train
using this on my coach lugnuts. lube the gear train before use. be aware the wave washer must be reinstalled. it will be necessary to compress the gear stack to get the snap ring reinstalled. I used a rather large c-clamp and some ginormous sockets.1-58 gear ratio is what I received, as the turn count proved. that's ok for what I am using it for. also using it on the front axle nuts on my truck and a few other recalcitrant bits of hardware. Do Not Use an Impact Driver on this thing. It's cast. doesn't like impact loads.I saw a video of a guy using a hydraulic jack against the handle and broke the handle, probably broke the gear train, also. be aware of left handed thread nuts and studs.when assembled with socket and handle, this thing is a bit heavy and awkward to hold up. once you get a bite on a nut/bolt with it, it is not necessary to hold it up as you crank the handle. the handle moves the same direction as the output shaft. keep left hand thread hardware in mind when using this tool. do take the time to watch some youtube video about this thing. enjoy

Works great
I used it to take a bolt out of the piston of a large hydraulic cylinder it worked great got a bolt out that a 1" air impact wrench would not get .

Wrong description
This is not a 1:78 ratio. Not a 1:64 ratio. Not a 1:58 ratio. It is a 1:60 ratio.I counted twice. The item description is wrong and has not been changed by Amazon. I talked to Amazon customer support and got a refund. Like the other reviews said the gears are dry,it’s got some stinky blue oil on the outside and the turning pieces have no mechanical connection to hold them together. Amazon said that they would change the misleading description but it’s still the same. The box and buying title both say 1:78. Amazon did tell me to keep the wrench and not send it back which was good. When you take it apart for greasing you will need a press or clamp to compress the spring to get the snap ring back on.Hopefully Amazon will change the item description some day. I haven’t tried it out yet but will update the review when I do.
