CURT56184 Vehicle-Side Custom 4-Pin Trailer Wiring Harness, Fits Select Kia Borrego, Hyundai Santa Fe, Sport

Cost effective.

I have a Hyundia Santa Fe Sport. I sent this back and got a Curt #56332. Did not have to run a power cable to battery. Just plug and play. Others auto makes might be different and would need a 56184

First line of the instructions for the Hyundai Santa Fe tells you to remove a scuff panel inside the car. Attempting to do so will damage the panel because it is held on by screws put in from the back side and cannot be removed. I found a Utube video that is very complete. So before trying the enclosed instructions check Utube. I would put a link here but I do not think it is allowed. When installed it does work as it should.Took me about 4 hours to install the wire harness.

Not the easiest install, a bit surprised that had to connect to battery vs tapping into "hot wires"

Listed as a trailer harness for Sante Fe. Directions want you to have special body tools and disassemble the interior of your vehicle panels. Huh? I have put a trailer wiring harness on 2 different vehicles with no problems- plug and play like this should have been, Its not. Spent a day trying to make it work before I realized i would not tear apart my car.. and most likely damage it.. to put in this defect. By the time I realized a trailer hitch was labeled wrong (another day gone bad) It was too late to return this.

Exactly what was needed to complete the install of a curt hitch. I installed it on a 13 Santa Fe and the lengths were sufficient.

Fits perfect and works well. Very happy with purchase.

I suggest looking up the eTrailer tutorial for installing this kit externally, as it is much more straight forward.Other than that, the kit works flawlessly.

Give yourself half a day to install this harness in a Sante Fe Sport. The directions for dismantling the back of the interior are ambiguous at best. If I hadn't of had experience doing this task in the past this whole project would have been more difficult and taken longer to do. This is the first trailer harness that I've installed where I had to run a hot wire from the positive battery terminal to the converter box. There's enough wire to run the length of the vehicle and between the tail lights. The instructions tell you to find an existing grommet to pass the hot wire through to the left tail light. Neat trick. Can't be done. I had to drill a hole in the floor, pass the wire up and seal everything with silicone. The harness works just fine. The quality of the parts is excellent. I'm just not impressed with the instructions. They make difficult what should be a relatively easy task.

Wow, works good but tons of work to install and instructions are NOT the best. Try finding a couple of You Tube videos before attempting.

Simple à installer. Il existe au moins une vidéo de l'installation sur Youtube où on montre en détail la pose sur le modèle et l'année de mon véhicule. Très utile au lieu de lire des instructions sur papier.

S’installe très bien sur Hyundai santa fée XI 2015.
