Great book!
Strongly recommend this book for those starting off or those that been struggling to understand the principles and the practicality of duct designing. I enjoyed the breakdown of the equivalent ft for Supply/ Return, his 12 steps for designing a duct configuration, the whys behind the DOs and don'ts, my favorite was his explanation of the friction rate chart and why alot of people use .1 FR. Great read, Jack knows his stuff.

Needs a serious technical editor rewrite; case study is quite good
Overall, the book is worth studying, but it could use a technical editor's touch or someone with real teaching experience. Several topics are introduced with no context and several analogies to other physical scenarios miss the boat badly. The most frustrating aspect is the lack of mathematical robustness in the use of and development of equations, specifically not carrying units along with the values. This is a serious disservice to the less aware reader. Manipulating the units algebraically guides the development of equations rather than relying on rote memorization. Learning that skill can then be applied in any other technical area. The last half of the book, the case study design, is very good and worth the cost of the book.
