Great little pair of shoes!
It’s like walking barefoot without getting stickers in my feet. Enjoyed sewing them together. Will buy again.

Very nice kit. Went together well. Get a size smaller.
It’s a nice kit. I used artificial sinue along with the lacing. The leather stretch’s as they are worn. Get a size smaller to make up for the stretching. Otherwise a very nice product. Might order another pair, a size smaller of course.

Good product.
Dislike the liner, couldn't see it in the add picture. Wanted just plain lether.

happy with purchase
When I was a teenager, I had a pair of moccasins without a bottom sole that my sister had bought me from the local IndianTrading Post (store). I wore them just about everyday. I have been buying them from that same store for years. I no longer live in that state and wanted a new pair. I looked around and decided that this time I would make them using a kit. I am a pretty crafty person and they seemed an easy kit to try. I received them yesterday and took the time to put them together. They are so cute and comfortable. I take a size 7.5 to 8 but wide width depending on the shoe. Concerned that these mocs were narrow I purchased the 8/9. After putting them together, I found that they fit really well everywhere but the heel. That was fine, I just tightened the lacing in the heel area. This fixed the loose heel area and still made the shoe look nice. I was also concerned with the color of the leather, but they are not the weird color of yellow, they are just a light color leather. I am sure with use the color will darken as most untreated leather does. I recomend and plan to buy another pair.

The instructions are confusing. Cut only ONE lace in half for the heel on both.
These would be a lot of fun to put together if the instructions weren’t so confusing. They are really great once you finally get them together. All videos on line are wrong as far as the stitching. My wife finally figured it out. Working on the second one the instructions said to assemble just like the first, however if you cut the lace for the heel assembly like the first you are screwed. Not sure why the instructions don’t tell you NOT to cut another lace for the second heel, but I did and had to tie the lace back with knots. They are worth the money, and they are really comfy for indoor type slippers.

Perfect for an 'earthing' moccasin but ONLY IF THEY ARE WET and the front of the insole is removed
This is a great basic moccasin kit with a comfortable insole and a fun project. The insole is glued in but mine peeled out very easily if your intention is an earthing moccasin. minimal amount of the leather surface sticks to the glue, not enough to matter. start with the toe and you can cut it off and leave the heel in for a little cushion which I would do if I could start over - ended up having to add a dr. scholl's heel cushion. I haven't found any earthing shoes without some complaint about comfort so these will serve the purpose for a morning walk in wet grass. I'll only be wearing these for short periods at a time for connecting to the earth so they don't need to be durable walking shoes or anything. CAUTION - the leather must be wet all the way through on the ball of your foot or the electrons can't pass through. I was tested with a high-dollar meter and was shocked with no reading at all with the moccasins on - took off one, got it wet, put it back on, got the green light so I was grounded. Water is the conductor. I have a feeling the Boy Scouts do a much better job at lacing than me - they are rather crooked after 3 times! I guess there's a trick to perfect lacing but I don't know what it is.

Missing Parts
Leather is good quality, looks easy to assemble, but didn't come with the laces as shown. Now I have to wait. Poor quality assurance.

Useful and fun
This kit was a really good idea. Most comfortable mocs I have every worn. They did stretch a little bit with wearing but that is to be expected, this is natural leather. All one needs to do is chinch up the ties a bit more. I needed to undo several inches of the first one because I didn't read the instructions carefully enough but the assembly of the second moc went fast. I'll be doing this again!
