Dr.Fish Ball Bearing Fishing Swivels, Swivels Fishing Tackle Saltwater, Freshwater Stainless Heavy Duty Lure Leader Line Connector

Tried these swivels for the first time. The package of twenty "ball bearing" swivels had about five of them that were frozen up and would not swivel. I rigged up 6 that were working, on saltwater reels with 50# braid and 40# fluorocarbon leader. On a day trip out in the gulf of mexico, fished over artificial reef and had multiple hookups. We boated all the fish (8-15lb snapper) that had my old swivels. All the fish we hooked with the new swivels we lost, and pulled up nothing but braid. The swivel had broken under a few pounds of stress. I was able to save one with a smaller fish we brought up and saw the swivel ring was bent and about to break. These are terribly made with cheap steel. Don't waste your money.

Ordered 20. Received 21 but 6 of them only have one ring on them.

I gave it one star because too many of the swivels were defective. Only came with one circle instead of two...

These are suppose to be #8 390 lb Ball Bearing Swivels but right on the package it says 254 lb , This really makes me wonder what I can believe from Dr. Fish because I also have purchased size 6 from him that are suppose to be 260 lb swivels according to his web sight add. What are the real lb. test rating on the #6 and #8.I received an explanation from Dr Fish letting me know that the packages of #8 Ball Bearing Swivels were miss marked at the warehouse and am satisfied that I did indeed get the correct item and would like to correct my 2 star rating back to a 5 star. Their customer service contacted me and let me know that they are correcting the error.

I'm an "old salt" who has been surf fishing for 40 years. I bought these swivels for my latest trip and they held up nicely. They freely swivel (their main purpose, right?) and are sufficiently strong. I lost 2 big fish on this last trip and neither of them due to the swivel (line cut by a shark, line broke). I use 65lb braid on my big reels, so these swivels held up to some serious tugging!Would buy again!

The price and quality of these can't be beat. I purchased the #2 size (65lbs) for a recent trip fishing around Catalina island for bonito and yellowtail. I only need 1 for a whole day of fishing. Didn't fail me once and stood up the test against 7 large bonito. These ball bearing swivels helped mitigate line twist from my main line to my leader and allowed my jigs to swim and spin freely. Added a small drop of oil on all them for corrosion protection and smoother rotation. These look and feel just like more expensive Owners Hyper Ball Bearings.

I do not use the swivels for their intended purpose although I am an avid angler. I purchased this quantity for my artwork. I am also a sculptor and my love is kinetic wire sculpture ranging in size from a12" x 12 " desktop mobile up to moving artwork that would easily fill a standard loving room. My pieces may be installed inside or outside so durability of the key moving components is Paramount.What i actually ordered and what i thought I ordered were completely different. I thought i was ordering 60 pcs in a size that i most commonly use. To my joyful surprise, what i received was an assortment of real ball bearing swivels ranging in size from something would use to clip on an ordinary crappie rig up to an incredible size one might use for the purpose of shark fishing. I have not stress tested the big ones yet but i cannot wait to try them on a larger project where some of the pieces that will be twirling in the wind and only supported by the swivel are approaching 20 and 30 pounds in weight. I'm certain these little beasts will handle the task with ease.They came packaged in a reusable, reclosable and fairly durable, compartmentalized plastic case and delivery was on a Sunday, as promised. Top notch product. I'll let you know how they withstand the Texas elements.

These are not 130# class swivels. They might hold 130#s but would cut through any 130# leader. I would return them but I fresh water fish for bluegill. I am totally unhappy that I spent the money for high quality swivels to be used for small fish on 6# test line.
