edge16 Mount

Of course, the price is a bit silly. I ended up ordering the bottle and mount from two different sellers as it worked out cheaper. The benefit is nice clean lines when you are not using the mount (I often use just one bottle, and cages get mangled in transport). The drawback is that it's a bit more finnicky to get the bottle to slot in. I wouldn't recommend this on an MTB - too much chance of losing it - especially if you get muck in the bottle "slot".

Have a new bike so was already using the magnetic bottle cages on my old bike just needed magnet for new bike. I find the magnets very strong and have never had a water bottle drop off the bike. I have a small frame so cant get two bottles on a frame have even tried side entry bottles with no success kept falling out every time I went over a bump.The only down side is no colour choice ( I want red tops to match my bike) and they are expensive

Excellent product! Lost a bottle once or twice, but only after hitting a major hole - and blowing a tire...

This is a great invention as the cage holds the bottle tight with little effort in removing or replacing the bottle. This holding system eliminates the process of removing water bottle cages before each cyclocross race (traditional cages get in the way of shouldering the bike).

Very happy with the simplicity and functionality of the edge 16 system. Great Product. However, I'm not happy with the open package and missing screws (from AEBike). AEBike, please review your QA Procedures.Note to all buyers: package contains 1 mount. Typically, bikes have bosses for 2 water bottles. To use the Vincero Design Edge16 system, you need 2 mounts and 2 Edge16 water bottles.

The idea is a good one, it would look fabulous if it worked. It doesn't. The magnet cannot overcome the forces generated when a 20oz bottle is bounced by any rough road surface. I gave up after one ride and threw 2 of these away.

I have used this product extensively on my road bike since they came out several years ago. I just purchased a new set for my recently purchased touring bike. I cannot comment on mountain bike use, but I would never use bottles for mountain biking anyway (bottles get muddy so I prefer Camelbak).Functionality - The design makes it easier to get the water bottle out and put it back in. It takes approximately one ride to get used to the motion. To remove the bottle you can pull it to either side or up like a standard cage and it pops right out. To insert the bottle all you have to do is get the bottle close to the mount and the magnet kind of sucks it in. Then you have to push on the bottle just to double check it is seated in the mount fully. I have never once had the bottle pop out.Bottles - This is a squeeze bottle so there is no teeth required to pull open a valve. Water flow is excellent. I have put many different drink mixes and have had no issues with mold, but I do clean and dry the bottle after each use. Downside is there is no way to lock the bottle closed (for throwing in a bag) and you cannot purchase them at most bike shops. You must use the Vincero bottles.Aesthetics - the bottle mounts blend in extremely well with my bike and look like they could be built into the bike. Of course if you have a bottle attached the mounts are covered and all you see is the bottleWeight/Aerodynamics - This is lighter than your very expensive carbon cages. I would assume it is more aerodynamic since there is no cage.Cost - This is substantially more than a cheap cage, but less than an expensive cage - so middle of the road.Installation - Takes less than 5 minutes, it is the same as a standard cage.
