Perfect fit for Whirlpool fridge model MBR2256 except power spades
I installed this part about 24-hours ago and it resolved the compressor starting issue. The only installation hitch I had was the power connector on the fridge was a 2-pin connector with 1/8" spades. The spade connectors on the new part is 1/4" wide so the connector wouldn't fit. I had to cut off the old connector and installed 2 female 1/4" spade connectors on the (Line & Neutral) wires. Aside from the wires being a little too short after that, it all reassembled okay. If I had it to do over, I would likely have extended the original wires going to the new spade connectors. Also since the line an neutral spade connectors could connect to either power spade on the new part, care needs to be taken that neutral and line go to the correct connector (which is marked on the part).

Higher quality? Don’t think so!
** UPDATE : Literal garbage. Came rattling which is to be a tale sign it’s ineffective. I even got this one and one from another vender as my last one seemed to be a dud, I got another one here and that one incase this one also failed. But guess what, they BOTH came rattling and failed. I tried both still, just incase but, nope. Maybe the problem isn’t the relay at all but considering the issue I’m having (and the previous one working for a couple hours), I am fairly certain it is (if I find it isn’t, I’ll update this review again), but if it is, what actual pieces of garbage. Idk how everyone else was successful with theirs as I got 3 busted ones. I ordered a genuine piece from the manufacturer instead. No more of these. **Worked…for about 4hrs. And then it didn’t. Idk if it’s defective or what but I’m hoping that’s the case. It fit and had all the right areas needed etc. and like I said, it started to work, at least it seemed so - the clicking I was having stopped. But then suddenly started again after only a couple hours. I changed it back out to the original and, this new one was very hot and when I shook it, it made a noise (originally didn’t - I heard on YouTube a sign of this being bad is there being this noise) so, not sure if it failed or what?? Maybe I installed it wrong though, pretty sure I did not with following YouTube. Overall I ordered a replacement so, we’ll see.

Fixed an LG counter depth refrigerator
So I bought a used counter depth LG refrigerator from a guy on offer up. It was in his garage because he was remodeling his home.he told me it worked fine, but when I got home and plugged it in, it lit up but didn’t get cold. The compressor would come on for about 5 seconds and then shut off. After watching a few YouTube videos I determined it was the run solenoid except on this models it’s this part. The official LG OEM part is $122 and is called a much fancier name.I took my old one apart and it’s got all sorts of electronic components in it.Anyway, like another reviewer said, if your part looks like this then it will work. Doesn’t really matter the brand or model.I just checked that the L and N (Line and Neutral) connections had 120 VAC going to it to make sure it should have been activating the compressor. Since it wasn’t then it was this part that needed to be replaced.Plugged new part in, connected the existing capacitor to it and plugged it into the compressor and plugged the fridge back in. Everything works fine now.Got a good deal on the fridge, but probably was getting a bad deal because it didn’t run. I should have had him plug it into an outlet and came back in 3 hours to check that the freezer was 10 degrees. I really doubt driving it home broke an electronic component. Fortunately I was able to fix it.I want to thank the other reviewers that steered me to this part and helped me get the right thing to fix it.
