Great little starter bike. The only issue was that had no dust caps, yet has valved tubes.

Very good starter bike ,well made and sturdy, it doesn't get 5stars because of minor details like dust caps for the tyres and a flimsy piece of plastic to cover the centre of the handlebars but not a great problem as i will get some dustcaps from and older bike and throw the plastic away . So almost but not quite .

Got it for my 2.5 year old niece. Perfect size. She is tall. Great quality.

I just think the quality is poor for such a well established name but I also understand the pressure to compete with cheaper products, I should have known better you get what you pay for!

After purchasing this Schwinn Balance Bike on Amazon and coincidentally finding a virtually brand new Strider Balance Bike at a local kids' consignment shop a day later, my wife and I gave our 2 1/2 year son old a choice between this bike and the Strider and he chose to keep this one. I'm so glad he did! This bike has been great for him!It is definitely a bit bigger and heavier than the Strider- which I wasn't sure if that would be good or bad, but for us, it seems to be a pro (he's a little on the tall side so that may play a role). The Schwinn seems sturdier and more solid than the Strider to me. I also like the larger foot-rests which the Strider doesn't have (though the Strider does have sand-paper like traction on its small footrests and this one doesn't have anything (though you could add your own if you want)). The Schwinn also has a nice, cushioned seat while the Strider has a hard plastic seat (I personally like the idea of a softer seat, but the one drawback would be the possibility of it tearing- but so far we haven't had any issues with that).However, since this review wasn't meant to be a thorough comparison between the two (others have done a great job doing that already), I will just say that after 3 or 4 months of regular use, this bike has held up well and has proven to be a quality purchase for us. Our son loves riding this bike and it didn't take him long at all to start lifting his feet up while he rode to practice balancing while coasting. I don't think it will take long at all for him to transition to a pedal bike when it comes time for that.Overall, I consider this Schwinn a win and would definitely recommend it to anyone considering a balance bike for their child (though if your child is on the small or more fragile side, the Strider might be a better option for you).

Easy to put together--maybe 15 minutes tops--but you need to have the recommended tools, such as the right-sized wrench. Make sure the seat height is adjusted for your child. With the child sitting down on the saddle, the heels should not be touching the ground and the front tip of his shoes slightly touching the ground, as if standing tippy-toed. There is a platform on either side where the little feet can rest while cruising. My kid loved this and soon learned to stand on it, too.This is an excellent balance bike. Nice, solid bike with excellent paint job. Not too heavy or light. Just the right size and weight for the little ones to handle. It really ought to earn five stars if not for what appears to be quality control issues. The first shipment came without the handle bar. Thankfully, Amazon has amazing return policy in such cases, and we received a replacement shipment the day after reporting the problem. What we found interesting was that both packages were missing the rubber caps for the air valves. Granted, this is mostly just a very minor cosmetic issue, but, I've never seen bikes--new ones at that--that came without valve caps.My 3.5yo, after exactly one week on this bike, successfully graduated to the big boy bike without training wheels.The pride and confidence of such accomplishment on a young child is simply incomparable. I have no doubt that learning to cruise on this balance bike was the key ingredient to this success.

esta muy bien, solo q para un niño de 2 año quedo un poquito grande, sin embargo no tarda en alcanzarla.. y así le duraría mucho más.
