Nest Hello Wall Plate with 2 30 Degree Angle Mounts, White

I purchased this for the wall plate and increased angle for my Nest Hello. But when inspecting the item, I realized it was not going to work. The primary issue is the lightweight plastic used in its construction. It's thin and very bendable. Plus since the plastic back plate (not the wall plate) replaces your original metal back plate, your Nest Hello now is not as secure as the plastic latch is not as strong as the original metal on metal latching mechanism. All it would take is a good tug and your Hello will get ripped off this plastic mount. Bottom line, the quality is just not there. Not even for this price.

I believe a quick whack with a gloved fist could quickly remove the entire Nest doorbell mounted with this device, which so far is the best one we have found. It should be made of sturdy aluminum, not cheezy, lightweight plastic. We kept it only because it angles the doorbell far enough to work on our porch where the doorbell is a good 12-14" to the left of the front door. BUT... the moment we discover one made of metal we will dump this one and replace it. Caveat Emptor!

Very solid way to cover large holes left by old door bells. Would've liked it to feel slightly more sturdy but it is more than sufficient.
